Rasmussen - Trust on Issues(democRATS have taken over on trust on 5 of 10 issues)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 1-28-12 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 01/28/2012 4:36:58 PM PST by GR_Jr.

Voters continue to trust Republicans more than Democrats on the number one issue of the economy, but they now trust Democrats at least slightly more on five of the 10 most important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports. The two parties are nearly tied on five of the 10, though. This is the first survey since May 2009 in which the GOP doesn't have an edge on a majority of the issues.

I'm starting to think the Pubbies winning back the House has not been a good thing at all. The people are shifting their support back to the Rats becuase Republican leadership flat out sucks!

Yup. I’ve felt this trend coming for awhile. Won’t be surprised if GOP loses the House this Nov—especially if Mittens is the nom.

What’s noticable is that in the catagories the Dems win are by small margins, statisically a tie. The Pubs win on the Economy, Immigration, National Security and Taxes by 7-9%.

The thing to see is which Repubs get beat in ‘12. If it’s the leadership and old guard that will be one thing. If it’s the class of ‘10 that gets moved out, then the Tea Party will have been repudiated. Interesting to see which way it goes because with the media, an improving,if barely, economy, and going against a billion dollars , keeping the House will be a substantial job of work.

We need to start reminding the people what is going to happen if Obamacare is set in stone. What is wrong with the GOP? If not repealed by 2013, the really ugly parts of the law will be enforced permantly—If you vote for Obama, this is curtains on our liberty.

America is doomed if this reflects the intellect of our population.

Keep repeating to yourself, "Most of them don't vote. Most of them don't vote."

Whatever excuses for thoughts they manage to dredge up from the depths of their little pea-brains don't matter a bit if they don't vote. And the majority can't be bothered.

It's not great news for the republic, but it's the best I can come up with at the moment.

First, can we actually point to any Republican leadership since 2010?
Second, I wonder how much oversampling this required to produce the pro Romney result from the same survey group?

I like your rationale, BfloGuy, but...

If “they” don’t vote, how the heck did Obama get elected in 2008?

This is a direct consequence of the chaotic and rancid primary campaign. It isn't Congress, who has been on vacation basically. But day after day the people are treated to the spectacle of republicans cutting each other down and calling each other liars. Why should anyone trust them? On anything?

Trust on Taxes:
39% - democRATS
46% - Republicans

Those numbers look familiar:
39% - people who receive taxes*
46% - people who pay taxes*

*approximate figures, just for laughs

What’s the GOP done to earn anyone’s trust or respect?

They failed to “cut” even the one billion they promised right out of the gate. Controlling the purse strings, we’re trillions more in debt. Failed to defund ObamaCare. Epic Fail Committee is producing massive cuts to our military. Then there’s NDAA and the near miss with SOPA/PIPA.....

Screw ‘em.
