“make the currencies from China and the U.S. equal or their true value.”

Careful there, the intrinsic (true) value of both paper currencies is zero.

Communist China keeps their currency artificially low so China workers can earn 80 dollars per month and pay 20 dollars for an apartment (per month). What U.S. company can compete with that? China has 25% economic growth . The U.S. has growing debt and Obama just ratified ACTA which is will destroy the Internet and censor the Internet worse than SOPA.

Obama Ratifies the ACTA Global Internet Censorship Agreement(W/O Senate)
The Real Agenda ^ | January 26, 2012 | Luis R. Miranda

Posted on 01/27/2012 6:18:00 AM PST by Texas Fossil

In another example of how little Barack Obama cares about the United States Constitution and the role of Congress -as bad as it can be- the current U.S. president ratified the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement or ACTA. President Obama had signed the first binding draft of ACTA last October 1, 2011, also in secret.

As we reported yesterday, ACTA is much more dangerous than SOPA, PIPA or OPEN, because it is the accord that legalizes internet censorship on a global basis. That is why presidents around the planet have received an signed the agreement without any review from their congresses or the people. This globally reaching agreement is often equalled to NAFTA or CAFTA because it standarizes the policies that will govern information trade, just as the other agreements define the rules of the circulation of goods and services between the United States and partner nations.

We need to get rid of democrat Obama, get rid of the IRS , abolish the EPA, deport illegals , end trade with China and most other countries, stop ACTA. That's for starters.

Chinese companies should not have been allowed to bid...since we are borrowing from them to begin with ..a conflict of interest. However rreality and how international finaces etc. work, it’s simply payback for borrowing the money.

I remember when our representatives were making “emergency” trips when China kept threatening to stop the funds....there was some vast “conditions” set without a doubt...and this is likely one of them , in order to keep the cash flow going to our government.

It truly sickens me to no end China has this stronghold on our country and it’s people....and they twist the knife whenever it suits them to do so.

Get real, folks. Paul won't be offered Secretary of the Treasury and he wouldn't accept it if offered.

He's too damn old.

That high-intensity job calls for a younger, stronger person with a proven financial and economic background in business and/or government. Someone with proven conservative credentials...and one who knows how to pick his way among the minefields of national and international banking, the Fed, the budget, trade, the market, Wall Street, etal....not just a talker on same.

And why would he trade a cushy congressman's job for a politically dead-end cabinet post that is a magnet for intense criticism all the time?

Give the old boy a break.....he's lucky to last the length of the campaign without some Geritol or Jack Daniels or both....although I hear he's in pretty good shape for his age.

No matter...no one will be calling him Mr. Secretary next year or in the future.

Gadzooks, man. That was about as much fun as being tongued by Uncle Funny at cuzzin’s funeral. I had to read your posting history to be sure you weren’t simply drunk when you wrote.
Looks like you’re not. Alcohol wears off once in a while!

“The moslums are very afraid that Paul might win or that his idea of cutting all foreign aid might carry through. Once America cuts aid to Israel, it also cuts the leash that America has had on Israel’s military, one which it has used to rein in Israel again and again when they were on the brink of permanently destroying their enemies. With no more leash, Israel would be UNLEASHED and they could no longer afford to wait. Israel would crush Islam and free the Arab people from the 7th century prison they have been held in.

Go Ron Paul”

“You are either Drunk.... Or Insane....

Time to consign the “only two choices, lessor of two evils, Hegelian dialectic” to the dustbin of history.

I thoroughly enjoyed TomasUSMC’s ..... nuanced ..... logic, as most RP supporters (such as Palin) probably do.

FR needs a "Like" button.

BTW - cutting all foreign aid also stops Israel's enemies from using our money to attack Israel.

I was a SP fan when many were calling her a fraud, and worse. If she now embraces that bat$hit loony-tunes Ron Paul, I’ll be forced to concede that they were right. However, until she EXPLICITLY endorses Paul, I’m not going to throw in the towel.

Ya you are right, ‘supporting’ Paul’s foreign policy is perhaps not the gist of that piece, but I like his slant and approach to some of Paul’s foreign policy positions, especially regarding the alternative/ current ‘conservative’ views.

You know, rush limbaugh had a great piece a few years back talking about how wars only end when one side is defeated and yet it is apparent no ‘victor’ has been allowed for the past 50 years in the Arab Israeli conflict, generally due to outside meddling influences, mostly egotistical politicians wanting to be seen as peacemakers and Arab tyrants seeking to keep Israeli boogeyman in the forefront rather than their own socialist dictatorships. Paul said the same recently in an interview with haartz or some such Israeli newspaper. I will try to find these links.

We could ask ourselves the reasons he is considered by some to be ‘anti-israel’ and perhaps we would find the same reason that many black leaders continually advocate policies for their ‘people’ that keep a sizable portion of them subjugated, dependent and in intellectual, moral, and financial poverty 150 years after the end of slavery. Sometimes those seen as most ‘against’ are actually most ‘for’ and vice versa, yet in a electorate dominated by political emotions and insecurities it takes history to prove who is right in the long haul.
