Apparently they know something we do not.
Once again, the media has it wrong. This case wasn’t about whether he was born in the United States. This case is about his father having been a British National, thus making Obama ineligible to hold the presidential office.
The point at issue is Barry Soetoro’s lack of two U. S. citizen parents, not his birthplace.

This is going to be a VERY long, VERY dirty fight to peel the scabs off and allow the light of truth to shine onto this egregious wound to the very soul of this Nation.
Actually, Orly was also there and is additionally contesting the location of the birth and the legitimacy of the Birth Certificate. She even dragged into it the Social Security Number business.
That is why I found it most curious the Democratic Party is stating they will appeal.
If they do, the appellate court will have to weigh all the evidence. The only evidence in Obama’s “favor” are two questionable birth certificates. One of the courts will need to make a Constitutional decision, or let the default judgment stand. That is lose-lose for Obama, and as Denofrio stated, could make all his accomplishments null and void. It is risky, as the argument now takes a turn towards true Constitutional law.
Obama is treading down Nixon territory, something highly undesirable.
Anyone check me on this. Obviously Obama sr was Kenyan and a citizen of the British commonwealth. However, his mother was 18 years old at the time of Obama jr birth. Am I right in recalling that a parent must be 19 years of age to confer citizenship on a child and therefore neither parent can confer citizenship.
Exactly. To be a natural born citizen (something our Constitution does nor define) but as “intended” by the Framers the parents must be US citizens even if the child was born in the US.
The only thing that could work is if they can show that Frank Marshal was his actual father.

I was expecting them to ignore this. If they walk away now, they risk very little. If they engage, they have already caused enough problems to raise doubts in the higher courts.
I find it curious the DNC is poking their nose into this fight. They must feel this to be a threat to their organization, and they are deeply concerned about something else other than Obama's legitimacy.
Pelosi and Reid certified Obama.
They don't want this going anywhere.
I absolutely, 100 percent expect them to throw in the towel.
The negatives are way too high and there is zero chance of O’babbler winning Georgia no matter what happens. Georgia succesfully pulled the courtroom focus away from birth location back to the original issue of father’s citizenship, and appeals have to focus on that issue.
If they let it go, it has value for projecting sanctimony, and a pretense of being the underdog in contested regions.
They don't want this going anywhere.
This is exactly why their intervention raises red flags and should be avoided. Obama should appeal this, and only Obama. If the DNC rolls into this after-the-fact, they risk exposing themselves for claiming Constitutional authority as a private entity.
Once they open up this can of worms, their vetting control can be lost forever.
If one really looks at this from 40,000 feet, one can see this is a presidential vetting battle, i.e. "Who has the authority to vet a presidential candidate?"
Title is of no value here.
This is about who obamas father was! Not whether he/ obama was born in kenya or not.

As my uncle used to say, "this really cheeses me off", whatever he meant by that, I haven't a clue. But still, he's right. It does. It cheeses me off.
I also thought she needed to be five years a resident after a certain age...which she did not meet.
They did not certify Obama - they changed the certification form to delete the certification language. It was introduced into evidence at the Georgia hearing, along with the republican certification form, which did not delete the language for its candidate.
