A new InsiderAdvantage poll conducted Sunday night of likely Republican voters in the state of Florida shows a significant surge for Newt Gingrich.

The poll has Mitt Romney leading with 36 percent of voters, followed by Gingrich at 31 percent.

The Sunday results of 646 likely GOP voters are as follows: Romney 36 percent Gingrich 31 percent Santorum 12 percent Paul 12 percent Other/Undecided 9 percent "The race will be tighter than expected," Matt Towery, chief pollster of InsiderAdvantage told Newsmax.

Towery noted that his poll showed a surge for Romney on Wednesday, with him leading Gingrich by 8 points. The InsiderAdvantage poll was among the first to show Romney's resurgence after his dismal showing in the S. Carolina primary.

The InsiderAdvantage poll was also the first to show Gingrich's rise in S. Carolina and accurately forecast his win there.

"The trend is favoring Gingrich," Towery said, noting that while Romney's lead was still outside the margin of error of 3.8 percent, "It's not by much.".........

Note how the young people in this poll are heavily for Gingrich and Paul. The 18 to 29 age group is 54.2% Gingrich and only 7% Romney. Also, there is a small sampling in that age group polled. The young people seem to be getting it while we old folks aren’t. The young are waking up. If they don’t, they’ll really get it. The debt that it is.
Here’s a link to the poll:

“’Tighter Than Expected’ “

Yeah, right. Only because we are getting closer to election day and the polls HAVE to come in closer to the truth if they want to be treated as relevant.

Exactly.

For the most part, more than one week out - MSM polls are MSM, not polls. Final week prior to the vote, MSM polls are "CYA".

Our so called media is corrupt, top to bottom.

Yep, I predict FOX numbers will drop -40.
Short of replacing half the staff with solid conservatives Fox News has lost me as a regular veiwer.
Even worse is I only watch FOX like I use to watch MSNBC.
As kind of a joke.
The only program I can watch without losing my sanity is Greta Van Susteren.
I think we need other alternatives to the alternative media.

“Who do you think they are?’

The passive aggressive types who say things like: “This is good news, but all these other polls,he has too many negatives,it’s too late to help, i really like Newt but Santorum’s the real conservative who should hang in there...”

You get the picture.

People in the 18-29 age group are more likely to have cell phones instead of landlines where most of the polling is done.

Said on an earlier thread. The political scientist running these campaigns were more than likely educated in liberal school a decade ago. Times are a changin and they're old school......EX who need yard signs for name recognition? Locally yes, for this race...Naw.

This was the poll that first showed Newtmentum in SC. All the others soon followed. But all of them failed to predict the big margin of Newt’s victory there. Hopefully it will be the same tomorrow.

I hope Santorum urges his supporters to vote Newt on Tues!

At least for FL. Santorum could tell his supporters that if they want him to be able to continue, FL is a must win for Newt.

That’s the way I see it! This race should be between Newt and Santorum. Romney hs no business even running as a Republican.

‘At least for FL. Santorum could tell his supporters that if they want him to be able to continue, FL is a must win for Newt.’

Excellent point! If the conservatives split the votes and enable mitten to win FL, there is not much chance for Santorum to go on (unless Santorum is the winner or a close second - not quite likely!).
So for his own sake, he should tell his supporters to consolidate behind Gingrich in FL, stop mitten and keep the race going!!
Think strategically!

Hi, nd,
Santorum doesn’t budge in Florida. He heard Bloody Thursday, and knows of the impending margin. This is his last best chance to see Newt targeted, isolated, marginalized and reduced. Just my best guess. Delegate deals are backfire material, I fear. Do you think so?

My county is particularly diligent about removing signs from the right of way, but we have an early voting location near our home and even there the only signs I saw were Romney and Paul.

Very few Gingrich and absolutely no Santorum. The only calls we are getting and ads we are seeing are from Mitt and Newt.

If signs and the buzz on the street is any indication, Romney will win, at least in my neck of the woods. It will be very interesting to see what transpires tomorrow.

Anyone who can watch Ann metaphorically dismantle Romnuts like that in a brief fifteen minutes and STILL vote for him is pretty much beyond help.

RINO's don't like her very much. Just ask Lindsey Graham.

We need to see what Rush has to say today.

Maybe he can help pull this together for Newt!

Santorum serving his masters in the Cocktail Party and draining votes from Gingrich, I see.

If Santorum loved America, he’d get out this AM and endorse Gingrich.

“If Rick is pro life, he could npt endorse Mittens with any conviction in his heart.”

Rick wants to be part of the Cocktail Party and cares zero about unborn children.

He is in this to get a cabinet post from Romney.
