Why aren't there any Romney ballot eligibility challenges?

Everybody here, myself included, is desperate that Romney not be the Republican candidate for president.

I suggest that the most cost-effective way of accomplishing that would be to bring Natural Born Citizen ballot eligibility suits against him in a few states, and try to get a few rulings in our favor before the RNC convention. I have read that there is no evidence that Romney's father was naturalized before Romney's birth.

If he is found to be ineligible anywhere before the convention, his delegates won't matter. Worst case there would be a brokered convention.

Why isn't anyone trying this? Lack of standing worries?

The United States stripped the Romney family of their citizenship for their illegal practice of polygamy in Utah...

You like to ask for proof, so right here is where I ask the same. There is NO evidence that the Romney family was stripped of their citizenship. Again, you are swimming in deeper water than you were trained for.

> I have presented no evidence that MY father was a US Citizen at the time of My birth. Having grown up as an American citizen, it never occurred to me that I should need to check. How about you?

I assume you are not applying for a job that requires natural-born citizenship. If I’m not mistaken there are only two jobs in the USA which explicitly require NBC.

When I was getting a background check for a TS clearance, they wanted documentation of my parents’ citizenship. If I had refused to provide that documentation, I would not have not been given that clearance.

I’m not saying that Mittens is not a NBC. I’m saying that he has not provided proof, and claims have been made that George Romney’s US citizenship might have been tainted at the time of Mitt’s birth.

Allowing another candidate to proceed toward a presidential election with contested NBC status would further erode the constitution and rule of law.

The 1930 MEXICAN census showed that nearly 20 years after George Romney’s dad returned to the US with his wife and kids, the Romneys and other Mormons who stayed behind in Mexico were STILL not considered Mexican citizens by the Mexican government. This blog has some research, nothing definitive yet: http://wtpotus.wordpress.com/2012/01/16/mitt-romney-natural-born-citizenship-and-media-bias/

To do a ballot challenge:

1. one must do a google search for, “search name of state code”
2. read election code to find out when the challenge period is.
3 hire an attorney to file the ballot challenge.

The ballot challenge period is very short. If you don’t look it up soon, it may pass by your state.

They are now reporting that 218,000 people viewed the live feed from the courtroom on Thursday. Too bad they couldn’t donate 1 dollar to hire attorneys.

His grandfather or great-grandfather defected, His father was born in Mexico, with no claim to U.S. citizenship.

George Romney]s grandfather defected the United States.

And? Do you have a point here? George Romney's grandfather (Mitt Romney's Great-Grandfather) died in 1955.

His [Mitt Romney's] father was born in Mexico, with no claim to U.S. citizenship.

Your premise is false, despite your apparent sincerity of belief.

George Romney was a US citizen at birth, (not a NBC however because he was born in Mexico) by virtue of the fact that BOTH his parents (Gaskell Romney and Anna Amelia Pratt) were US citizens (both NBC) and neither of them ever lost or disavowed their US citizenship.

Look up the concept of defection.

Look up the concept of defection.

That's precisely what I suggest you do. There was NO defection by anyone in the Romney family going back at least five generations.

YOU should also look up the definition of "relocating".
