But there is not a word of the speech Romney just gave which conservatives would disagree with. Are you serious? Everything out that vile man's mouth is an outright lie. I don't have the TV on and will NOT listen to that fraud.

Words are just that, words. Mitt's entire career is one of increasing the power of the State. Mitt's entire career is own service to his own power-lust.

Mitt seeks the office to glorify one thing and only one thing -- Mitt.

Mitt laughs at those who believe in Limited Government and other conservative beliefs.

I cherish our Constitution and believe as William Wallace Stated, that Liberty is the best of all things."

Above is Liberty from government tyranny.

Shoot, the dems might be just as happy if Romney would pull off a win (I highly doubt that happening though) as if Obama does - nothing will change & they will get a Republican to blame everything on.

That’s the problem. Mitt talks right, and moves left.

>>Romney is giving a decent conservative free market attack on Obama. That is just a fact.<<

How stupid does someone have to be to listen to those lies? Look at his record and what he said throughout the last 6 years or more. That speech was written and read from a teleprompter. It’s totally not who Mitt is. Anyone stupid enough to fall for a teleprompter speech deserves what they get. It will be without my vote.

Anyone claiming "Republican" after last week and what is currently being foisted on us can immediately be marked down as "genuine stupid party member".

Thanks, you just gave me a new one:

GOP-S (GOP Stupid Party)

Reagan showed us that Americans respond to optimism and an upbeat demeanor. Both of these guys need to go positive, run against the LEFT, not just the president. Clearly express a positive vision and PLEASE, no more attacks on private equity, Wall Street or making a profit! The Obama administration and their witch hunt against mortgage backed securities is bad enough.

Sorry, but Mitt, as proven by his history, is still a Liberal Progressive.

That is how he governed.

He has not repudiated his own liberal actions.

Therefore he is unfit to lead under any circumstances and all of his lying words concerning his current positions cannot be trusted.

There is no trustworthiness in that man, none at all.

Those ignoring this evidence and pretending that he is a valid choice for POTUS are not conservatives, especially those posting on a conservative site like FreeRepublic.

Sarah Palin was just on the Fox News. It looks like she was doing the spot from her home in Wasilla, Alaska. There was a roaring fireplace in the background and Weather Underground tells me it is currently 15.8 degrees in Wasilla. Not exactly cold by their standards but definitely cold enough to light a fire in the fireplace.

No, you either vote for the republican nominee or you re-elect Obama. Its that simple. And if you help to re-elect Obama, you are not conservative. Any of the 4 republicans are better than Obama, and everyone here knows it. Emotions are getting the best of folks.

My emotions are totally under control, but your logic is absolutely screwed. Here's why:

If 0bama is re-elected, America continues to have that bottle of socialism poured down our throat against our will. If Romney is elected, that bottle will continue to be poured down our throat, but it will be via crystal goblets, a glass at a time, but we'll all still be forced to drink it.

The fact is, this is a two man race, Romney vs Newt. Santorum is all but done, he just can't face it. Ron Paul isn't going to be the nominee, that is the long and short of it. If conservatives fail to rally behind Newt to stop Romney, they might as well stay home in November because it won't make a damn bit of difference if the choice is Romney vs 0bama.

The Nerf gun does help, but i’ll tell you, this night is very tough to take.

Fortunately, my wife hasn’t come home from work yet, so I have been able to use ALL of my Army words. I know, shame on me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I agree entirely with your mistrust of Romney, that is his problem. I have supported all the conservatives but whoever gets that nomination (and it isn’t Romney yet) is getting my vote. Obama must go.

Not if it is Romney.

He, from a GOP perspective, is worse than Obama.

It is Anybody but Obama, and Anybody but Romney.

If Romney gets the nomination, then the GOP has moved to far to the left for any sincere conservative.

I will vote for the Republican nominee.

I don't see that we have any choice...and it makes me sick cause the GOP knows that. I'm not giving up on Newt yet though.... this vote has tightened up quite a bit. Am sure the early voting hurt a lot. Poor Santorum looks dejected...hard week for him.

Obama appointments to the Supreme Court will bury everything you believe in. Those who ignore the importance of the courts, the US attorneys, the diplomatic corps - are fools.

LOL... Yeah - got the message. The reason I didn't know that is that I've never seen the movie - absolutely can't stand John Beluchi - nor that kind of movie staring anyone.

I'm 70 years old and haven't been to a 'new' movie in probably 15 years. Oh, wait - I did go see the cartoon 'Madagascar' - and later bought the sequel, 'Escape to Africa' - and that only because I read about the computer horse-power they used to 'make it happen.'

Never here too. The GOPe better understand there are many of us who WILL not vote for romney period. I am very pro Israel and I would vote for Ron Paul over that lying sack of shtick. My only hope would be that congress wouldn’t allow RP to throw Israel to the wolves.
