How can any right thinking Christian, conservative or tea party supporter justify voting for Romney?

Romney is an empty suit. A complete fraud. Worse, he's anti-tea party, anti-conservative, anti-liberty! He has absolutely zero conservative accomplishments to his name. His ONLY accomplishments in government are liberal, ie, tax payer funded abortion, gay marriage, gun control, RomneyCare, mandates, etc. He is Obama-lite.

Are these voters uninformed, terrified, brainwashed, or just plain nuts?

Romney is every bit as nasty as LBJ and more liberal to boot.

Jim they don't take enough interest in politics to know what is going on, and they don't know history well enough to know where we are headed.

With the combined efforts of a whole bunch of Freepers we are no doubt aware of matters the general public has no clue about. We can educate some of them, but nowhere near all of them.

It's not over yet Freepers, we got to keep on keeping on, LET'S ROLL!

“supreme court, main reason why Obama has to be removed.”

Do really think that if Mittens was to somehow win the White House he would choose judges with different view points than those that Zero would pick?

You must be kidding. Look at Mittens record in Mass ... basically all liberals he chose. Plus the old man Sununu from NH who gave us Justice Souter has Mittens ear and will dictate who Mittens chooses. But that will never happen since Mittens will loose big time against Zero.

“Come on, look at Romney. He’s matinee-idol handsome.”

You know, I keep hearing that, but I have yet to SEE it! WHERE is this vaunted handsomeness? His face is vanilla-bland, very ordinary, like some space alien’s idea of the perfect 50s dad. He isn’t aging well-—there are sacks under his eyes, and his face is getting bloated and baggy. And then of course there’s the hair, which looks like he just combed it with an order of ribs. THAT is handsome?

There is no justification. Mitt Romney doesn’t have a sincere bone in his body. He has what Thomas Sowell calls a “versatility of conviction”, meaning he has not core conviction. Plus, he’s a jerk.

I’m still holding out hope for a Santorum surge. I’m watching him speak to his supporters right now and he I find him to be a good and decent man.

"We had Governor Rick Perry. FReepers ate him up alive."
You don't have be belittling Rick Perry. I did my homework on him, liked what I saw and admire his accomplishments.
He was never my first choice as I have advocated Newt since 2006.

That being said, it was Rick's decision to step aside and support Newt. Personally I feel he did the right thing, a thing that Cain has done and Bachmann and Santorum should do.

For that matter Gov. Palin should get off the fence, running.

BTW: How did my "fickle" statement elicit your Perry comment, just curious…

Romney is worse than Obama. He will unite liberals and moderates to enact more liberalism....just like he did in Massachusetts. At least now, with our deadlocked Congress, things are at a standstill.

My take on his campaign. He doesn’t care if conservatives are with him or not. He plans to run a campaign he’ll call moderate. He plans to totally ignore conservatives and attempt to beat Obama with liberals and moderates.

Conservatives will be shunted aside, and if they want to vote, they’ll be told their only alternative is him “or their vote will be a vote for Obama.”

There is only one solution at that point in time: a 3rd party or a 3rd candidate.

Since Romney will be worse than Obama, defeating Romney should be the priority. Better yet would be a viable candidate and party to run against both of them. If they split the liberal/moderate vote, then a great conservative campaign could actually win.

Because he may end up being the nominee and we can’t take another four years of the racist, Black Nationalist, Marxist, probably Muslim, one-worlder bastard currently defiling the White House? At least that’s what will make me RUN to vote for him. 0bama and his leftist ilk must go. Everything else can be retaken by increments if we have to, but if he’s re-elected...forget America. Just F’n forget it.

Alot of Christians in America are not right thinking...

It is time for pastors to get off the 'feel good' sermons and educate their congregations about worldviews. Most Christians don't have a clue what Mormans, Muslims, etc. believe. In fact most of them don't know what they believe. Biblical ignorance is the downfall of a society.

I am willing to bet that if he does take the nomination then almost every post here on FR will be about how we have to vote for Romney.

The only thing we can hope for in getting rid of Obama is that he will finally be found ineligible to be president. Or his corruption exposed. He just may have made a Fatal mistake in GA. He may not be on the ballot there if he is eligible or not. By all rights, a warrant for his arrest should be issued in GA. But I don’t expect that kind of justice.

“Mittens will most likely receive the nomination.”

We shall see. But he had a plan and we didn’t. He was thinking it out since before 2008!

We were going from hoping Palin would save us to Michele to Perry to Cain and finally Newt. Well that didn’t seem to work so people are now talking about Santorum, another candidate who doesn’t really know what he’s doing. I hope he enjoys the experience.

Conservatives have great ideas, Newt especially, but we have a big problem with the follow through. Street smart beats out book smart in this game.

Santorum needs to drop out because....

Newt Gingrich is the anti-Romney, Santorum is not.

As Rush said today, Romney is the second choice for most Santorum voters.

Uhbamuh is a terrible POTUS in the mold of Jimmy Carter. There is not a scenario in my mind that would make me stay home as a protest vs voting for Romney. There will be those who will try to convince people the best thing to do is to show your feelings about the process by not voting. And while they do so, they will be assuring an incredibly, unbelievably bad POTUS is rewarded with another 4 years in office.

I am dumbfounded sometimes by the about faces done on a site that I have enjoyed over the years since I found this place. Countless times, Conservative commentator / politician / pundit has excited the masses here and then has made one comment that is disappointing and a great many wash their hands of said person. We have seen George Will, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, at times Rush Limbaugh, Charles Krauthammer, Scott Brown, Allen West, and now Marco Rubio fail the test and qualify as someone never to be listened to again. Gingrich has been crushed on this board for a while but now all of the sudden he is the guy who should be embraced by “true conservatives” when his basic positions remain the same as they were when he was slammed?

The choice is simple. Four more years of Uhbamuhnation because we want to have a pity party over not getting Joe Perfect Conservative in the White House or do we vote to free this country from a POTUS who will never have the best interests of the country in mind, will continue to separate the races, will continue to dismantle the military, will continue to have us be a laughing stock worldwide and will have us needing to hold a telethon to save the country?

Romney may not be my favorite candidate (frankly there has not been a single candidate in the race now or that has dropped out that qualifies as a favorite for me) but there is no way I stay home in November, knowing my vote does something about helping free this country from perhaps the worst POTUS it has ever seen. So I will support Romney with no regrets at all.

Jim, you know it’s already been decided years ago who would be the next Republican President. No matter who we vote for in the primaries or if Newt polls at 80% among the people, we will end up eating our Mitt sandwich and not liking it. It’s already been decided by those who count the votes. Who the hell else are we gonna vote for? I mean, what choice do we really have? The RNC will allow no other. Period.
