...in the long run, replacing Obama with a paler Obama (Romney) with an R after his name could do more damage to the country than allowing Obama to be reelected, hopefully to trigger another Reagan revolution in 2016.

I was just saying the same thing... the next four years will be hell if we do not elect a major reformer. When the money runs out, the entitlements stop reaching the sheep, all hell will break loose and there will be horrific scenes across America. It will happen with Romney or Obama... so let Obama take the rap and reap what he has sewn. Otherwise, the media will blame Romney and the Republicans, and Obama will be a distant memory, free of blame. Then we will see another Dem in 2016.

If Romney is forced upon us, my third party vote is assured.

You are right, Old.

I sent messages to some GOP elitists today telling them that I will vote for Romney on a cold day in hell..and they wrote back to say I would be making a huge mistake by not supporting him.
One told me that it is most important that we get Independents to vote GOP..and a Romnuts will ensure that we get those votes. You should have seen my response.
I went all Reagan/Galt on ‘em...at least I feel better.

What would REAGAN do?

That would depend entirely on whether Reagan was on the winning side or not.

Time to put aside the 11th Commandment myth.

Reagan took on a sitting Republican President.

I will again post my rallying cry!!!

“Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor????”

HERE IS BELUSHI “BLUTO” IN THE MOVIE “ANIMAL HOUSE”... A cry for us conservatives!!!

Bluto: Hey! What’s all this laying around stuff? Why are you all still laying around here for?

Stork: What the hell are we supposed to do, ya moron? We’re all expelled. There’s nothing to fight for anymore.

D-Day: [to Bluto] Let it go. War’s over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.

Bluto: What? Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Otter: [to Boon] Germans?

Boon: Forget it, he’s rolling.

Bluto: And it ain’t over now. ‘Cause when the goin’ gets tough...
[thinks hard of something to say]
Bluto: The tough get goin’! Who’s with me? Let’s go!
[Bluto runs out, alone; then returns]

Bluto: What the f..ck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where’s the spirit? Where’s the guts, huh? This could be the greatest night of our lives, but you’re gonna let it be the worst. “Ooh, we’re afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble.” Well just kiss my as.. from now on! Not me! I’m not gonna take this. Wormer, he’s a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...

Otter: Dead! Bluto’s right. Psychotic... but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part!

Bluto: We’re just the guys to do it.

D-Day: [stands up] Yeah, I agree. Let’s go get ‘em.

Boon: Let’s do it.

Bluto: [shouting] “Let’s do it”!
[all of the Deltas stand up and run out with Bluto]

Just heard Mittens say that we will have a united party during the convention in August.

I will be united with those who have a banner reading "FUMR".

I am so over the GOP-e. Not that I have ever been for them, but I must admit, I was fooled year after year that if we do a 3rd. party, (more like 2nd party) the evil d. would win.

Imagine if, for the last 20 years we had a viable conservative party? I'm sure had there been one during the Dole election, the GOP-e would have said that is why they did not win. Had there been a conservative party during the McCain run, the GOP-e would have said that is again why they lost.

I am sick of people saying 3rd parties don't work. It was tried with Perot, and that is the only siting I keep seeing. Who knows if Bush would have won or not. This is just there favorite talking point.

I will not support the establishment ever again. And, I am guilty of falling for the whole “if you don't vote for this moderate, blah, blah, blah. Never again.

If mittens gets the nomination, I’m going independent and the GOP will never, in my life, EVER, get a red cent from me, again.

More proof that money, lies, negative ads, and a liberal media wins elections.

Newt needs to give Santorum voters a reason to switch, some kind of assurance that he is not the kind of guy who sits on Nancy’s couch, likes 300 pages of ObamaCare, says positive things about amnesty, endorses people like Dede Scozzafava and think Freddie Mac is a model agency. That he isn’t the kind of candidate who calls for federal jobs programs for inner city kids and moon bases while we have trillion dollar deficits....

Give them a reason to vote FOR him.

If he cannot, then we need someone like Santorum in there.

It’s not Santorum stealing Newt votes, it’s Santorum giving people a reason not to stay home.

Obama and communists everywhere are heartened by your support.

The biggest single issue of this election cycle is Obamacare. The people have made their feelings on that topic abundantly clear since it first surfaced in Congress; indeed, the unpopularity of that law remains steadily high. And yet, the GOP-E has the temerity to push a candidate who will never, ever sign a repeal of that law.

Romney has no ability nor intention to alter this nation's course. The GOP elites wanted him, so this debacle is on their heads, not those of the voters. Take your blame game elsewhere.

What is amazing from the exit polls, is how well Romney did with the self identified Tea Party Candidates, and evangelicals. I think Gingrich only beat Romney by a couple % points. That may be the most amazing story from tonite. And may unfortunately be the most damaging for Newt.

Now a lot of the undecided power players will immediately move to support Romney. Their contacts, resources, money and influence will cause a snowball effect. Florida’s 50 delegates is really not the important aspect from tonite. It is that in a large, diverse and critical state to the republicans winning, Romney wiped the floor so to speak with Newt. The exits show Romney doing well in almost every region and demographic.

Got to be a bummer nite for Newt. Sad to say, things don’t look promising.
