we have too many brain dead people who moved into our southern part of our state and brought their north east politics with them.

Likely the same ones who voted for Bloomberg and then moved south because their taxes got too high. Those type never learn. They just spread the disease. Most but not all northeastern Republicans are Rockefeller Republican. The only solution I see is dissolving the GOP completely as a party and the formation of a true opposition Conservative Party using the Constitution as it's sounding board and STRICT platform.

It was a great place to live up until the mid to late 60’s.Started going downhill then and its only gotten worse.
North of I4 is not bad still today but the rest of the state is an armpit.

“The biggest single issue of this election cycle is Obamacare....”

That’s big but the economy is THEE issue. Everything else is second.
What Romeny will or won’t do is not a done deal re: Obamacare.

American are focused on the biggest issue: getting Obama out.
Exit polling from everyone including conservatives, Tea Party folks, etc. show it.

I’m not going to let Obama finish off the US, sorry.

I think you’ve concisely echoed my thoughts. I fear that if we elect an “Obama lite” with an “R” after his name, that the Republic will suffer greater injury than if we keep the current, clearly polarizing incumbent in office, hopefully to trigger a Reaganesque conservative backlash in 2016.

Having said that, if Gingrich gets the nomination, full speed ahead!

Agreed. Santorum should endorse Gingrich and gracefully bow out. I can easily see a role in a Gingrich administration for Santorum—in a Romney administration, not so much.

There are some interesting things in the numbers.

Look at all of the votes for Cain, Johnson, Perry....

Obviously people who voted early before they quit.

Had they not voted early, for whom would they have voted.

So certainly a lot of the other votes were early votes as well.

So the FL vote is not an indication of how the rest of the country will vote.

A lot of facts have come out about Romney since the early votes.

We must hang in there and send Newt money

They called it real early for Gore, too. That doesn’t always make it so.

Pretty amazing that someone can ‘win big’ before one vote is counted.

He won’t win until he gets 1,050 delegates

This is a battle for the soul of the GOP and what this party stands for. We are either constitutional conservatives or liberal-lites.

Screw the GOP, this is a battle for the republic. This is the end game. This is all the marbles.

A note to the gang... MAN UP!

It ain't over till it's over, and it isn't over. You gonna let the state media win? You gonna let the paid in full pundits win? You gonna say it was bound to happen, drop to your knees and pay your Obamneycare bill?

Get with the program. We're FReepers, and we get things done. Ask Dan Rather.

It's a long way to November, and we are not gonna sit on our asses and let the socialists destroy our way of life.

Well, Obamacare/Romneycare is a big issue for me, and it’s inextricably tied to the economy as a whole. Romney’s spokesman has said that he plans to replace Obamacare with Romneycare in each of the 50 (57?) States.

I’m telling you, Romney is NOT conservative, and he is NOT the candidate we need!

Just goes to show that almost $18 million dollars in attacke ads will buy you a primary.

Give me a break. Nothing was botched. Bush won Every. Time.

It was idiot Democrats from New York South (i.e. South Florida) who tried to steal the election for Gore.

We’re not all idiots but then again all Republicans aren’t immersed in the echo chamber that is Free Republic, either.

“replacing Obama with a paler Obama (Romney) with an R after his name could do more damage to the country”

My, my. Aren’t we the wise one. Actually, you are quite right about that.

We may not last after the next Presidency—of either so-called Party.

But there will be only 1 Partei.
