Chevy spot already front-runner for most controversial ad

If you’ve learned anything from Super Bowl XLVI so far, it’s that driving a Ford will get you killed when the apocalypse comes.

Unsurprisingly, this spot from Chevy is already generating the most controversy. In it, a man drives through a post-apocalyptic landscape and finds the only survivors are fellow Chevy drivers. Their friend, sadly, drove a Ford and is dead.

Ford ought to run basically the same commercial but add...”See? This is what happens when government gets too big and bails out ineffective companies—apocalypse.”

They should have played the audio of the Chrysler ad (halftime in America) while showing the video of the Chevy commercial.
It would have been PERFECT!

I actually found the ad to be the work of fruits.

None of these men thought to save a wife, daughter or mother, even though they had a planned meeting place.

Barry Manilow is playing in the background.

They’ve even got frogs, suitable for licking, raining from the skies.

I suppose they might run into a Chevy S-10 filled with downscale lesbians later.

Nice to know that Cuba should be doing okay after the apocalypse.

The TWINKIES, even the whole concept of the ‘end of the world’ and driving around in trucks, comes from the movie ZOMBIELAND.

In the movie, though, they were driving around in a HUMMER which had been stocked with a large quantity of weapons by “some rednecks”.

Ford needs to run an ad...start with a screen shot of the queers in chevy trucks munching twinkies, then move just down the road to a big group of guys in fords grilling steaks with dozens of hot babes.

I know Ford has to tread carefully, but I did get a kick out of something I saw last week regarding the ObamaMotors bailouts.

It was a documentary on Discovery or NatGeo about modern factories and featured the new (2004) F150 plant. A number of the line workers had nicely printed Tee-Shirts with the big blue oval and under it words to the effect of "Made with Zero tax dollars". Nice to see it dropped in there.
