But contrary to what the might ad suggest, the spot was actually filmed in New Orleans and Los Angles. Yes, part of it was filmed in New Orleans . . . and some was filmed in various partssuch as Los Angeles, Dianna Gutierrez said. She specifically points to the tunnel scenes as being taken at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, while the stadium shots were in New Orleans.
Asked whether any part of the ad was filmed in Detroit, Gutierrez said that previously taken footage from various parts of the Motor City was used. No image of Detroit was shot for the specific use in this ad.

I can understand why they would NOT want to film in Detroit.
But I can't understand the marketing morons who thought this....
...was a good idea. I LMAO everytime I see this.

In other shocking news, it’s being reported that “Black Hawk Down” was not filmed in Mogadishu...

Who cares? Maybe the Weakly Standard could try writing something important for a change. Put one of those Great Conservatives like ole Fred Barnes or his sidekick Billy Kristol on it...

I understood this ad to be a campaign ad for 4 more years of obama... you know, “we’re only at halftime, America.” It sure seemed like it to me.

That's just how I saw the ad too. I got the “You don't change the teams at halftime” vibe.

Chrysler is about as American as a cannoli. Fiat owns 60% of them.

Eastwood trying to sound patriotic and inspirational just didn’t ring authentic to me, but the subliminal message: that I got.

Just curious, where are the two bottom photos taken from in Detroit because the one on the right is definitely non existent here.........You need to clarify this if you wish to remain credible.

Yeah, the first time I saw it I immediately thought: That’s correct, they are imported from a third world, democrat run and created, craphole right here in U.S.
Proof that any moron can become an ad executive.

The photo on the bottom right is photoshopped or something.
Bad as Detroit is, it ain’t quite that bad. People will live in the abandoned buildings before they’ll live in a shantytown through a Michigan winter.

I think the photo on the bottom left is the old Packard plant but the bottom right is a bit beyond credible.
Too cold for shantytowns in this part of the country especially when there are all kinds of abandoned buildings to squat in.
