Last night's Dorito's ad was apparently meant to be "funny". A dog seems to be responsible for a missing cat's disappearance and he bribes a guy with Doritos to keep silent.
If we find this offensive, are we too sensitive? Is it wrong to request Doritos to kill this ad? They suggest the dog killed and buried the cat , or even worse. My best friend's cat was killed by a dog a few year's ago.

I found the ad very funny... and I have a cat and dog. It might happen in our house, but it will be the cat burying the dog if it does..... and he won’t be offering us doritos... he will be demanding we feed them to him.
They’re all piled up around the campfire. They’re waiting for pickup. The baby seals are dead. Clubbed and then piled up! One or two try to crawl out of the pile and a guy picks up his bat and slams the seal again. We could go further. How’s this for being hilarious? A tire company shows how it’ll keep the car from skidding all over the place when it hits a couple of baby racoons trying to get across the road. Too funny!!
I am offended by your defense of corn! Corn is not an innocent victim, corn is a monster! Corn gives me a horrible headache and it has wormed it’s way into everything in the grocery store! Down with corn!

Your comment about baby seals: I’d LOVE to be able to go out and kill a half dozen white coats and make a coat for myself out of their fur, but certain hyper-sensitive types forced the Canadian gov’t to outlaw that harvest OVER TWENTY YEARS AGO!
Of course, the sudden explosion of seals wiped out the cod, but that’s OK, because the PEOPLE who relied on the seal harvest AND fishing for food and money ended up on welfare.

The Doritos commercial last year was so homo-centric I nearly barfed the first time I saw it, but I sure didn’t sit here whining about being offended, I just haven’t bought Doritos since, and I sent them a letter telling them why.

I used the baby seals as an example. If you think killing animals for a TV commercial is funny then I suggest you get a life!!!!

I just found the Doritos commercial on Youtube (didn’t watch the Snoozer Bowl) ... thought the commercial was hilarious so I watched it again, and again, and again :-) Not bad for twenty bucks.

I bet all these stooges telling you to get a life would be all up in arms if there was a commercial depicting a dog getting killed for laughs.
Hey guys, wanna see something really funny? Watch “Planet Terror” and about halfway through this dog gets splattered all over the highway by an army truck! HILARIOUS!!

IT’S NOT REAL! An ADVERTISEMENT that shows a “missing” kitty is THAT overwhelmingly offensive to you that you insist everyone you’ve never met FEEL the same way you do is ludicrous.

Whatta bunch of crapola! I hate cats, but it’s a sorry excuse for a cat with quickness and claws for climbing that lets a clumsy dog catch it! Coyotes, on the other hand, are much quicker and stealthier and just love to eat cats which is fine with me! Feral cats are usually disease-ridden, destroy small wildlife (especially birds), and are the scourge of urban neighborhoods!
Still, it was just a commercial, so get over it already!

IMO the ad was counterproductive. Husband bribed to lying about the kitty killing over Doritos. Only wives and cat lovers would have a negative reaction to that. Though I suppose cat-hating men would eat it up.
