By MICHAEL R. CRITTENDEN And NEIL KING JR. Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum handily won Missouri's primary election Tuesday night and was showing signs of strength in Minnesota's caucuses, threatening to deal national front-runner Mitt Romney a setback in two Midwestern states.
With results from Colorado just trickling in, the returns from the other two states holding nominating contests Tuesday looked to give a jolt of momentum to Mr. Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator.

Taking your opponents’ slurs and using them against you is a good tactic.
Is there a Freeper with cartoon abilities who could prepare a cartoon of Rick Santorum wearing a sweater vest with bullets flying into it and bouncing off it like a flak jacket, use your “Fear the Vest” on top as a headline, and a caption on the bottom saying “I learned something from serving on the Senate Armed Services Committee — American equipment is the best.”
Right, won more states and is still in third in regards to Delegates. MO was a showboat state and Santorum gained nothing. Newt was not even on the ballot, so the Newt supporters voted for the “Not Romney/Paul” candidate.
Besides, Santorum will soon open his moderate mouth again and remove all doubt. Any candidate this bad, will soon be exposed for what he is.
I try not to let posters like this guy color my view of Santorum. I am good for the fire and brimstone Word but I never did cotton to Messianic Pharisees.

Blast it, Meadsjn, are you taking your talking points from the left wing of the Democratic Party?
If you want to have a serious talk about sociological demographics of evangelical and Roman Catholic voters, I'm game. Also, I'm no fan of televangelists who too often don't operate under legitimate church authority with a biblically constituted body of elders supervising their work.
But if you're going to say that Santorum, a practicing Roman Catholic and the son of a psychologist (i.e., has a doctoral degree) “like any other candidate who comes out of the box trolling for the evangelical vote, is trying to appeal to the bottom 10% of the electoral IQ spectrum” you are flat out wrong.
Sorry, but the stereotype of evangelicals as stupid and easily led belongs in the national news media, not Free Republic. Most conservatives know better. Those who don't need to learn quick.

I think most Freepers, no matter who they like in the military, will be very happy to read about a World War II veteran who used the GI Bill to go to school and then dedicated his life to helping veterans.
By the way, I just found out today that Santorum’s family and mine are from the same region of Italy. Interesting. But my family came here several generations before his.
That’s got a really nice vibe.
