Seeking to overturn a DOJ judgment that its voter photo identification law, passed in May 2011, violates the National Voting Rights Act (NVRA), the state of South Carolina recently announced that it is suing the Justice Department and Attorney General Eric Holder in federal court.
The decision by South Carolina comes as the DOJ is vigorously working to stop the spread of states enacting or implementing voter photo ID laws, prompting fears that the Obama administration is undermining the integrity of the upcoming 2012 elections.
In December 2011, the DOJ blocked South Carolinas new voter ID law from taking effect when it determined the South Carolina law was discriminatory, citing an unfair burden on minority voters.

S.C. sues federal government over voter ID law

It is stupidly claimed that requiring a PHOTO ID discriminates against and is a hardship for poorer voters.
It is NOT discriminatory or burdensome for poorer voters to carry a PHOTO including driver’s license, nor register at a motel/hotel, nor cash a check, nor pay by check, nor any other of the many things they do daily.
It is ONLY, when the LEFT wants desperately to corrupt the voting process across the country, does requiring the possession of a Photo ID become “a nasty thing.”
Is the LEFTies really dumb enough to believe that? I don’t think they are...they know what they are doing. And so do we.
Go SC! This just reminds me how our current cultural/political landscape is very similar to the decades preceeding the civil war. That war began as a “states rights” issue. We find the Fed government doing today what it did then, and in 1861 SC fired the first salvo. Today we don’t have to get “violent” we just take it to court, and SC is “firing” a legal salvo at this administration regarding the issue of states righs.
Probably more than ever we are seeing clearly that the states rights issue today is not driven georgraphically, or even along racial lines, but is purely an issue about how much power we will allow the Fed Gov’t to continue grabbing? This country is a smoking “tinder box.”

ooops! sorry about that! Don’t know why it posted three times! Guess I REALLY wanted to make the point! :)
Only democrats want to end voter photo ID laws. The lawless party.
When a new box is found and the votes miraculously turn out to be about 90% democrat there is never a question raised by the media or a complaint taken seriously by the courts.
vote fraud is rampant, so why vote?
“Injustice, Exposing the racial agenda of the obama justice department” by J Christian Adams, Regenery, 2011
Fraud bridges the gap for close calls, a few per cent here, a few percent there, and they get a win.
In the last presidential election, with record voter turnout, approximately 1/3 of the population voted.
Most years, it is a mere percentage of that.
Get down there and vote, and get all your like minded friend, coworkers, acquaintances, neighbors to do likewise, and the gap will be too much to make up with fraud.
ping!
why vote?
Because you end up with people like Obama if you don’t.
Fraud wins when people fail to do their duity.
I want to hear the candidates raise the issue of vote fraud. Gingrich isthe only one wo has mentioned it
Minnesota will have a photo ID constitutional amendment on the ballot this Fall. It is overwhelmingly supported by over 75% of voters polled. The other 25% are Democrat criminals, no doubt.
I want to see the candidates and Republicans demand honest elections instead of just hoping to get enough votes to counter fraudulent votes.
