Penn State subpoena requests info on Sandusky and his charity (did n/p finance molestations?)

The Patriot-News reported the US attorney requested info on Sandusky and his charity, "The Second Mile." A grand jury has alleged the former assistant coach molested 10 boys, most of whom he met through "The Second Mile" n/p charity. It is not known if the subpoena is directly related to the ongoing case, or part of an unspecified investigation. "The Second Mile" received a request for info WRT Sandusky's travel records days after he was arrested. The subpoena also wants info about ex- Penn State president Graham Spanier, and two ex-school officials, who have been charged with perjury and failure to report a crime WRT the Sandusky scandal.

It's a valid question ... I'm sure 'the press' will look into it... Just kidding - non-profits are a protected victim 'do gooder' liberal touchy feel thing. I didn't see that in the NY Post story. Where did that come from?

Maybe they "updated" the story, because there's nothing there now that says anything about ex-PS prez Graham Spanier being a "human sexuality scholar who promoted wife-swapping on campus".

As a “human sexualty scholar,” Spanier’s interests were all-encompassing. And I’m sure he “shared” his “scholarly interests” in things like wife-swapping with his academic colleagues.

The NY Post article verified that Spanier is under investigation in the wake of the Sandusky scandal——not reporting one’s knowledge of crimes against children IS a crime.

If you are a faculty member and not tenured you could kiss your career as an academic goodbye. If you are a PSU staff employee and persist with such intolerant views you will be terminated ("with extreme prejudice".)

All PSU staff are evaluated on an annual basis, and several criteria on the evaluation form deal with the employee's embrace and support of the PSU diversity policies. It's not enough to tolerate perverted behavior, it must be celebrated. Participation in diversity events related to gender issues, feminism, and homosexual behavior etc can be used to demonstrate the employees compliance with these policies.

Penn State has a long long way to go before the veil of secrecy around the administration and Board of Trustees is penetrated.
