AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I believe his take is that these matters are highly personal in the moral lens, but that the Gov has no business in the Church.
I find Newt to be more intellectually honest than Santorum.

If I could have my druthers Perry would be the contender.

Asking that our candidate have morals is not out of bounds. Of course, I know marital fidelty is out of the question for Nooters, but I would have appreciated some ideological fidelty over the past years. I do tend to get upset when “conservatives” go around promoting green energy and the individual mandate.

Nooters sure gets awfully sanctimonious when HE’S preaching how everyone is infringing on Catholic’s rights. . . but no one else is supposed to apply that same mentality to him.

I agree, but things look bleak.

Newt won’t quit.
I admire his tenacity.

Intellectually honest? Noot?

You just mentioned a politician’s name and the word honest in the same sentence....I think that is deserving of twenty lashes. ;)

I don’t see any ideological fidelity from any of them.

Newt and Paul seem o be closest to that, but Paul is just a raving nut on so many matters.

Ricky and Mitt seem like intellectual chameleons to me.

From one of the contraception/blood clots sites of 2.4 million links

A new study has shown that women who use new type of contraceptive pills are twice as likely to develop life threatening blood clots as those who take older versions. Oral hormonal contraceptives have been known to increase the risk of a blood clot in deep leg veins, known as venous thromboembolism (VTE). These can prove fatal if they travel to the lungs. But, researchers at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, found the “third-generation” pills are doubly harmful than the older versions

“I’m glad Rush is talking about this!”

Having trouble listening and posting. I must be blonde. I am. lol.

Santorum also did well on this in the debate-—that and on Iran. Santorum does best on the stump. On a national stage, he defies his “whiny/wonkish” public image when he is filled with righteous anger and speaks off the cuff. That is the Santorum we need to hear more of.

Yep. Bad thing is Mrs S would have to cross a bridge to get to work and as you may know DC is now #1 for worst traffic in the US.

I tend to use Reagan’s Rule with politicians:

“Trust, but verify”

Only time I’ll relax that is if I live close enough to ‘em that I can stroll down the block and go eye-to-eye (or firm grip on the throat if necessary) with ‘em.

I drove through DC when I went to the FReeper convention two years ago, and swore I’d never do it again.

So I really feel for Mrs. S.

Well, thwarting the natural system is bound to have consequences I suppose.

I like my hormone balance the way it is

I’m a guy so I don’t know much about this stuff.
All I know is when you tweak them gals hormones they get mighty moody.

Pfft - 20 more lashes for saying Paul.....

I could go on and on about Paul’s history...but really it’s pointless and you already have seen how nutty he is.

If you think Noot didn’t participate in any sort of behind the scenes dealing like Santorum described, you’d be wrong - as Speaker of the House, he was one twisting the arms, not having his arm twisted, but either way, it’s one and the same as far as I am concerned.

All I know is, while I may have to end up voting for Noot, I won’t be happy about it. It’s as if he and Mitt try to outdo each other daily on who can turn me off the quickest or anger me the most with their inanities and ridiculous statements.

Ultimately, though, I’m not thrilled with any of these guys. Four years of planning and this is the best we could do? There wasn’t anyone who really thrilled me. But if I had a choice, I’d chose Santorum today out of the four. Noot is second, Mittens third, Paul is a no go. When Obumma’s foreign policy is stronger than your’s, then you won’t get my vote end of story.
