Fantastic speech!
I escaped from behind the Iron Curtin in mid 80s and do know when socialism/communism moved in, the first thing they did was to take guns away from the citizens. Shortly after that, a total dictatorship ran rampant, and millions of innocent lives were destroyed and eliminated without trace.
Newt speaks eloquently of Washington crossing the Delaware.

Here’s a thought; Gingrich/Palin
I know that Sarah said she wouldn’t want second billing because she couldn’t call the shots but Newt is sounding quite Palinesque. She would bring an excitement to his campaign that Newt is lacking. As VP, she could be put in charge of reforming government, eliminating waste, etc. Plus, she would be ready in 2016 to run for president if Newt decides to serve only one term.
Newt would be an excellent mentor for Sarah. She would be a great draw and fundraiser for him.
I’ll vote for the Newtster....even though he’s ticked me off many a’time. (Appearing with that wench Pelosi should qualify one for infinite torture.
However, thanks to the Obamaloon, my wife and I just completed our concealed carry classes. We’ve long had the weaponry, but thanks to the liberals, we’ve finally realized that we have need to have them available.
Hopefully, he, or Santorum (or ANYBODY EXECPT RINOmney) will become our president.

Ontario: dad arrested after 4 year old draws picture of gun

The trouble began at school in Kitchener, Ontario, when a 4-year-old girl drew a picture of her father, Jessie Sansone, with a gun in his hand. When asked about the gun in the picture, according to police, the girl said her siblings played with it and that it scared her. “The school principal, police and child welfare officials… said they had to investigate to determine whether there was a gun in Sansone’s house that children had access to.” And apparently that “investigation” had to involve detaining and strip-searching Sansone when he showed up at school to pick up his daughter, searching his home, and spiriting away his other children to Family and Children’s Services to be interviewed. Sansone was told he was being charged with possession of a firearm — from the article’s context, an offense in itself in that Second-Amendment-less locality. When police searched the Sansone home, they found “a clear plastic toy gun that shoots soft plastic biodegradable BBs and retails for around $20 at Walmart” and he was released without charges.
We badly need an awakening to the founding pricipals and culture of the United States. The elitists need to be knocked back in their assumptions that they “rule” over us in any way they chose in violation of our Nation’s interest and constitution.
The courts have to be reminded that the constitution can not be decided away by their elitist will. New immigrants have to be introduced to these idea so they understand that although they came to the US to make money; that opportunity is available because of America’s individual freedom. Socialism is for peasants and slaves.
Finally, the watermelons have to be exposed and put out to pasture for their opposition and hatred of human life. Population control is a genocide ideology and they have no right to plot and work against human life. It is not their globe. People do not belong to them.

This is a fine and historically informed speech by Speaker Gingrich.
That speech brought tears to these old eyes ... because Newt is exposing a sad fact about We The People, that we have lost our understanding that we are the sovereigns and the government should be answering to US rather than We The People begging the government to exend to US what our founding fathers and mothers defined as ours because OUR CREATOR has given these to US. We The People need this man, Newt Gingrich, as OUR leader and OUR spokesperson globally, to halt the global march of socialism and dictatorship by federal powers not granted by a free people.
Newt. I do believe, is much like W, the man for these times. I differed greatly with Dubya on many issues, but never doubted that he was where he was, when he was, because God called him to be so.
May God give Newt strength, and more, may He give each of us the ability to choose wisely in these troubled times.
Please Heavenly Father, help us to stop short of the cliff. Help each of us to grow in strength in order to return this nation to Your will. Free will - the ideal of the Founders.
