‘Top GOP Senator’ To ABC News: If Romney Loses Michigan, ‘He Will Publicly Call’ For Jeb Bush
Mediaite ^ | February 18th | Frances Martel

For those out there loving the current Republican race but worrying that it has become somewhat orthodox in appearance and stable in candidates and support numbers, fear not: ABC News’ Jonathan Karl has the blind item for you. In the most mysterious and, for the GOP, worrisome dispatch on the Republican field in a while, Karl reports that a “prominent Republican senator” told him that the Party will not stand for a Mitt Romney loss in Michigan, and that he expects a result like that to lead the Senator to “publicly call for the party to find a new candidate,” likely former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

You are right and it would not surprise me if Romney wins in Michigan. Who knows what he has going on behind the scenes.

I can't tell you how sick I am of the republican establishment and the Bushs.

Bush gave us Zero, the evil one that is destroying our nation and our free market capitalistic system that has worked so wonderfully for 230+ years. NO JEB BUSH, NO MORE BUSHS NOW OR EVER.

Brothers and sisters, I want to see a sea of hands out there!

I want everybody to kick up some noise!

I want to hear some revolution out there, brothers, I want to hear a little revolution!

Brothers and sisters, the time has come for each and every one of you to decide whether you are going to be the problem or you are going to be the solution! You must choose, brothers, you must choose!

It takes five seconds, five seconds of decision, five seconds to realize your purpose here on the planet. It takes five seconds to realize that it's time to move! It's time to get down with it!

Brothers, it's time to testify and I want to know are you ready to testify? Are you ready?

"The GOPe is losing control!"

They are the 'control' used when the D.C. folks realize the natives are getting restless. Sort of a "throw them a bone to distract them" group. They haven't (D.C. folks) gotten quite the lock up on power yet. We still have that pesky Constitution and those who believe in the principles behind it.

Watch for a pustch (intended) to shut down political discussion on the Internet, sponsored by both sides.

I can't tell you how sick I am of the republican establishment and the Bushs.

While I had less than a favorable opinion of George H.W. Bush, "Dubya" I believe history will ultimately be kind to.

Having said that, I don't think I could stand another Bush President. It's almost like having a British Monarchy at this point where a few highly connected political families run the country, and I just can't stand that thought.

If the Republican Party can't choose a good CONSERVATIVE candidate in the primaries, then they can count on my not voting in the Presidential race in November. (Note: I WILL vote in all other races.)

Typical of the Bushes, to be smiling while America is not happy. Just couldn’t vote for another one.

Kind of strange that they would put this info out right b4 the MI primary. Looks like they want the Newt and Rick voters to vote for Romney so they won’t have to deal with Jeb!

Probably right about that. It was reported he won Maine and Iowa in the media for several days only to find out he did not.

So GOP primary voters turn down Romney because he's not a conservative and the GOP's plan to address their concerns involves trotting out yet another Bush - this one the least conservative of all? I have trouble believing that even the GOP leadership could be this out of touch or this crazy.

They aren't. They will try to draft Chris Christie. And he just might accept if they do.
