Obama refused, until two months ago, to impose tough sanctions on Iran, increasing the likelihood of an Israeli attack. Already, speculation that such a strike might be in the offing is driving up oil prices. His anti-Israeli policies have diminished that nations confidence that it can rely on the United States to handle Iranian nuclear ambitions.
The presidents veto of the Keystone pipeline and his refusal to drill in Alaskas Arctic National Wildlife Refuge makes it crystal-clear to voters that there will be no relief coming from the north.
His stubborn refusal to issue deep-water drilling permits despite having officially lifted the moratorium he imposed after the BP spill is costing us hundreds of thousands of daily barrels in domestic production.
His relentless crusade against oil company tax privileges undermines our ability to explore, drill and produce oil.
As gas prices rise, Obama owns them. His public stands against oil drilling are coming back to haunt him. After his approval ratings peaked at 50 percent, Rasmussen and Gallup both have him back in the mid-40s.
Obama proudly points to the fact that we are producing more oil domestically than we have for some years. True. But thats because Bush issued permits for a massive expansion in offshore drilling and exploration on federal lands. And its because private and state land is being used for horizontal drilling and fracking despite the increasing objections of Obamas EPA.
Globally, a 3 million-barrel increase in oil production would be huge about a 4 percent increase in global supply. Those 3 million new North American barrels will make it possible for the United States to cut off all imports from the nations that hate us: Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Russia, Algeria.

debbie schultz wasserman said on F&F today in the same segment that 1) A President cant affect gas prices and that it would take years before drilling helped. 2) Obama was the reason we have higher production now not Bush.
How on earth does that even pretend to be logical?
And no one calls her on it. Both sides of the argument.
Optimism?
I’m saying the whole shootin’ match goes for the final swirl “just a bit later” with a repub than with 0bama,
and that’s “optimistic”?
Wow... you’re more of a downer than I am!
Most of the increase in domestic oil production is NOT from federal water or land allowed by Bush. The growth in production has mainly come from Private Land sourced to shale formations in Texas and North Dakota.
Federal water specifically has been declining in production rates for the last couple years. There were some significant increase a couple years ago but we have drifted back below that point.
[[ Gas prices? Through the frickin roof. But have no fear, around August he will release some of the strategic reserve in the hopes it will have an effect on the market.
It will only lead to his followers saying well he tried or He had good intentions. ]]
I agree with you.
Those who are predisposed to vote for Obama are not going to be swayed by high gas prices — they’re going to vote for him anyway. It doesn’t matter how high prices go if you’re “an entitlee” — you vote for the person/party that will keep the ben’fits comin’ in. As the old saying goes, “don’t bite the hand that feeds you”. And these days, the “hand” that “feeds” an increasing number of the population is Big Government’s.
Those who are predisposed to vote against Obama are going to vote against him, high prices or not. If anything, the higher prices go, the more we are going to see the hard-rock conservatives (such as the folks in this forum) grit their teeth and grumble, “I hate Romney but I’ll vote for him, just to get Obama out of there!” (Disclaimer: I am NOT a Romney supporter. I expect to support the Republican nominee in the general election regardless of whom it is, for no other reason than I just want Obama gone.)
The only ones for whom high prices are going to make a difference, vote-wise, are those “independents” in the wishy-washy “middle”. It may just push enough of them towards our side. That remains to be seen.
Gas prices will be a factor in this election, but probably not “the determining factor”. I sense that something else is going to break on the scene, which will become the real “center” of the struggle....
Slap Barry's ugly mug on a billboard with *that* slogan and watch the democrats piss themselves.
Phase of the Day - Death Spiral.
[ Your post is not helpful to the conservative cause ]
I am not a conservative.. I’m a radical..
I want radical change in Washington D.C. not conservative change..
ONLY Rinos want conservative change..
Thats why they are picking Santo and Willard..
They want BIG giverment to continue just not as big as it is now..
AND I’m not amused.. with socialist republicans..
Especially republican Union members who are stone parasites..
AND NON Union republican RINOs who are mostly delusional..
You can call me MEAN!.. but really you have no idea of how mean..
[ A big republican win in November will add a couple of years to the death spiral were in, perhaps 5 years at the outside.]
I have been saying that more or less...
With a Santo or Willard Presidency..the democrats can and will blame all of Zerodamus destruction on THEM... and of course Bush..
Santo and Willard are for a federal givernment a bit smaller.. in places..
AND thats if they get elected in the first place..
NO NEWT..... NO FIXING the givernment..
And even then Newt may move left after being elected.. he is such a whore..
He has been riding Lady Liberty’s leg like a French Bulldog for years..
AND Santo and Willard have the dry humps.. Obama masturbates Uncle Sam..
Sam seems to have the hots for Karl Marx..
Would make a good movie... i.e.(Steven King please answer the courtesy phone in the lobby)
racist comments hurt your radical cause, as well.

I said Zerodamus not Negrodamus..
Dave Chappelle invented Negrodamaus.. not me..

But Negrodamus is hauntingly accurate..
I reserve the right to despise whites or blacks as I will..
