Let’s hope they never get their hands on a nuke.

Scott Walker received only 1,128,159 votes when elected. It seems that his support has gone up!

Something is wrong with the system, when it takes only a fraction of the losing side to generate a recall election that is costing the taxpayers millions of dollars.

If there's truth in this poll (always a big "if"), it can only bode well for the results once the left has chosen their whackjob champion as the face of the recall.

The current most likely opponent:

Kathleen Falk, County Executive of Insane Dane County.

Nothing to celebrate here. The fact that Walker is disapproved of by 46% should make you sick. The barbarians are winning. Bob

I’ll go further: If Obama forces *killed* dozens in Pa. who were demonstrating at a Tea Party rally, and arrested hundreds more, the percentage in Wisconsin who would still vote for Obama would drop by only several percentage points. Most of the socialists have become pure human garbage, mindless drones.

Did I miss a downwardly spiraling decade or two, somewhere?

Yes, the 90s and Bill Clinton.

Falk looks similar to KloppenTurd who ran against David Prosser for WI state supreme court judge, and had the rug pulled out from her when Waukesha County submitted the correct tally of votes.

I hope that WI GOP & Walker just pound Falk with the slogan of "Bought & Paid for by Union Thugs"

I gotta get me a "Go Walker" baseball cap, for when I go back to my hometown of Menomonie, WI, just to piss off the local nitwit teachers & UW-Stout idiot faculty & morons.

Political historians may recall the 1950 U.S. Senate race in Ohio. Unions went after incumbent Robert Taft with brass knuckles and threw money and manpower to spare to get him for allowing state to pass Right-to-Work laws. The effort backfired badly and Taft was reelected by greater than expected. I hope that history repeats itself.

This is a must win if there ever was one.

Another comparison along with your 1950 taft, the rat effort to oust Jeb in 2002.

I also predict a backlash against the recall commies.
I believe way more than 54 percent oppose this recall effort. Recalls are for gross misconduct not for those doing good works for the state of WI. We will have an awesome victory and the dems will continue to be crybabies.

I am in rural Dane County. I see very few recall yard signs when I drive around local towns and highways. Madison is predictably full of libtards displaying many bumperstickers, but in general I see very few other displays of recall support.

Of course the will of the people means nothing to those who
want things their own way...even though their way nearly brought
that state to its knees!

it’s not just union

there are simply a lot of liberal whites up north

Scandinavian stock...folks who rely on govt, less faith in God, want society to take care of their needs...just look how it is now where so many come from...whatever happened to Viking guts and masculinity

it’s cultural..largely why they went union in the first place

I was just in Michigan..it’s a different world than what I am used to culturally

I can understand why northern freepers are so ragged and paranoid abou the left...what they deal with daily

Wisconsin went 54% for Obama via white vote

Kansas went 40% for Obama via white vote

Utah and Tennessee went around 65% via white vote

Mississippi and Alabama went around 89% via white vote

It’s culture and dealing with clear and present threat daily versus the Cosby show..southerners knew exactly what Obama would foster because they already had a taste for years in Memphis and Atlanta

and even more than that...I have lived 54 years and still unsure why Yankees are more socially progressive..they just are and always have been

>> I didn’t know union membership in WI was that high.

Democrats are generally of a single mind, not transcending very far beyond the “good of the group” mentality. It makes for a tenacious political movement.

Make that cap say “I Stand With Walker” or “Walker Walker”. “Go Walker” is too easily misinterpreted. Another slogan seen around here is “Wisconsin in Openf for Business”

I grew up in the south but worked in Rockford in the mid to late 80s. It’s in Illinois, not Wisconsin, but you knew that.

Even at that time most of the union jobs were gone. I was a white collar engineer working at Sundstrand Corp (now Hamilton Sundstrand) which was really the only going concern in town. Everything else had shut down because it had been serving the auto industry which had gotten hammered in the 80s.

Sundstrand was an aerospace company but was unionized by the UAW. Go figure. Had to deal with the union assh*les.

At that time, there was a downturn in the normally cyclical aerospace industry. When the contract was up, the union still went out on strike demanding a 10% pay increase.

The company took a skeleton crew of non-union engineers (not me - wrong specialty) and kept the assembly line running. No only running, but the skeleton crew of engineers actually cleared the backlog that the lazy union workers had created so they could get overtime.

The company realized that they could keep product coming out the door indefinitely. Eventually, the union had to come back to work w/o a contract. (cue Nelson Muntz - ha ha)

Not sure what happened after that because I’d had enough and left. This insider experience taught me everything I ever needed to know about unions.

The 1950 race against State Auditor Joseph Ferguson wasn’t even close (58-42%). It was 1944 when Taft almost lost in a nailbiter to William G. Pickrel (50.3-49.7%), a former Lt Governor (that, of course, would’ve been a huge feather in the cap of FDR). Gov. Dewey of NY won the state for President with about the exact same margin as Taft’s, 50.2-49.8%. Almost no ticket-splitting there.

Thank you for that report. Unions are not the only party to blame. Many management teams are/were just inept. However it is true beyond any shadow of doubt that unions are like a parasite who does not stop until the host is dead. And then the parasite also dies but is too stupid to know when to stop.

I am most fearful of the SEIU union since they are feeding at the public trough and government does not have to worry about profit. All government unions should be outlawed. They have no competition and therefore it is an issue of unrestricted monopoly.

It’s amazing what you can do as a business when you pare away the chaff.

I’ve seen it myself. About 80 percent of the actual work gets done by 20 percent of the staff.
