The Ohio Air Guard F-16s (shown above) have been flying on biofuel since December and, as expected, there has been almost no noticeable difference in the airplanes’ performance running biofuels versus using pure jet fuel

biofuels... like ethanol?

loads of ethanol from corn eating the seals in our cars... what will 5+ years of that stuff do to a jet?

The United States Air Force (USAF) is the largest energy consumer in the Department of Defense (DoD).Volatile oil prices force the USAF to divert money from training budgets and weapon system procurement accounts in order to cover increased costs due to unbudgeted fuel expenses

Green is for Kermit the Frog and Oscar the Grouch. A better plan. Fire Obama. Then reduce dependence on foreign oil by:
Approve Keystone pipeline.
Restore use of coal-based fuels by mining coal, including 20+ billion tons in Escalante Staircase National Monument (declared a NM by Slick Willie as a bribe to major contributor).
Allow offshore drilling.
etc.

This is wise, and has been going on far before Zero began his rule.

Historically, denial of fuel = denial of forces. Anything that makes our forces more flexible makes them more dangerous.

What is the point of wasting our money on this?

Camelina sativa, usually known in English as camelina, gold-of-pleasure, or false flax, also occasionally wild flax, linseed dodder, German sesame, and Siberian oilseed, is a flowering plant in the family Brassicaceae which includes mustard, cabbage, rapeseed, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprouts. It is native to Northern Europe and to Central Asian areas, but has been introduced to North America, possibly as a weed in flax.

Native to Northern Europe and Central Asia. Wonderful.

I don’t like seeing the military being constantly used as a test vehicle to push the liberal agenda for social change and feel-good political correctness.

That has been the rule since the Clinton era and it is going to cause us great sorrow someday.

The function of the military is to protect America, Americans and our freedoms.

It does not exist to give liberal politicians an easy way to force their whacky ideas on the country.
Although that is how they use it.

Air Force Certifying F-16s to Use Biofuels

I hope the pilots don't end up dead the way the Columbia astronauts ended up after NASA went to "green" foam on its shuttles in order to pander to the Democrat enviro-Nazis. I think that "green" foam was certified, too.

Good grief! The "WTF" days keep on coming with sharply increased frequency.

Seems the clock is ticking towards the time when the ammo box will have to be substituted.

Sort of like John Fogarty's piece, you can almost hear it singing:
"Oh, put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;"
Put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;"
