An official ONGOING police investigation is the very definition of a confidential process.

Didn’t they just say that the investigation was ongoing? That this was a preliminary report? Aren’t ongoing investigations confidential?

Police routinely give press conferences to update the public on ONGOING investigations. They don’t let investigators sell books about the results of ongoing investigations.

Secondly, show me where Sheriff Joe gave his official permission to use the information for a book. After all, supposedly he provided the resources for the investigation - the results belong to him.

When police update ongoing investigation do the public they do not give out details and findings. Lawyers spend a lot of time making vetting what gets released so that the final investigation is not compromised.

But why are we arguing - it was not a real investigation. The fact that Sheriff Joe wrote the forward to the book proves that - interesting to know what his under the table cut is.

With all due respect, just because 'masses' don't consider something that could very possibly be the truth doesn't mean that the possible truth of the issue is false and to be ridiculed. Far from it. It is substance particularly if it is true.
