A flower company is the seventh advertiser to pull its ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program in reaction to his derogatory comments about a law student who testified about birth control policy.

ProFlowers said Sunday on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program...

Rush can make his regrets all flowery, but they need to be final for antsy, quick-folding traitors who will go the way of Snapple.

As the song goes, why do fools fall in love. Allow some indulgence to this folly, even if you don’t personally participate.

I should add that they lead you all the way through by saying “Discount will be given at the end.” THey never warn you that the discount is only on your 2nd order. I just think that it is a shabby way to do business.

I don’t remember if this is the same company that packaged the order so poorly that it fell through the box and broke on the floor when my 95 year old mother picked the flowers up off her front porch. She didn’t tell me about that; I had to learn about it from another relative.

Normally,I don’t complain about things, but I thought these people were awful. And then they send you emails forever which I delete.

Surely there have to be other advertisers who are willing to advertise on conservative shows. Are there no more conservative companies? If there aren’t, then we are a dying breed.

I see no reason why the little companies can’t be given a chance...unless it’s all about greed.

Check out MOZY.

I had already emailed Carbonite but I just called to explain in detail why I wouldn't renew. The number is 877-665-4466. I spoke with Jason.

Life Lock was the center of some argument and controversy. Some felt it was hype that did not purchase the protection it purported to furnish, certainly not to the point that the average Joe Subscriber could publish his SSN and still not get gimmicked by pranksters.

I have many friends who’ve also been scammed by Pro Flowers via bait-and-switch, non deliveries, dreadful dead flowers, etc. Based on their input, I never thought of using them.

I think the problem is the left is a lot more vocal and organized than conservatives when it comes to putting pressure on companies. They figure they have less to lose by p*ssing off conservatives than they do of running afowl of the liberal establishment and their assorted grievance group constitutencies.

Actually, I believe the art of politics and public relations is simply determining who you can—and can’t—afford to p*ss off.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re all connected somehow. ProFlowers has been sued for fraud on a number of occassions. Go figure. Its parent company is Provide Commerce (Liberty Media) whose brands are below.
ProFlowers – flowers
Cherry Moon Farms – gourmet fruit and gift baskets
Shari’s Berries - covered strawberries and other gourmet food gifts
RedEnvelope - upscale gifts for all occasions
Florist Express - same day flower and gift delivery throughout the United States.
Personal Creations - gifts

And so you end up canceling the order in disgust when the discount does not show up in the balance they ask you to approve to charge on your card — sounds like they set up to punish themselves.

All flower-wiring companies have contracts with a nationwide network of florists. They do not ship flowers for long distances. Whoever the local florist was, is the one who boxed it poorly and it would not have mattered whether you had used FTD, Amlings, or Pro Flowers to order the same thing.

We were looking at Sleep Number beds to replace our aging bed. Not after this, and they will be getting a call later.

Rush can fix this very easy. Just go on the show today and say something very simple.

“I apologize to Ms. Fluke in that I didn’t hear her talk about how moving away from unprotected sex will prvent putting millions of people at risk for acquiring AIDS.”

I would just kill every federally sponsored sex education program in school as well as Planned Parenthood, since the pill seems to be the answer to every women’s promiscuity problems.

I might also add, that Bill Strauss, the CEO of ProFlowers also worked for Quicken at one time when his company, ChipSoft, was acquired by Intuit. Quicken was a sponsor that dropped Rush too. Tangled web. Rush knows all the players. I’m beginning to wonder outside the box about this whole drama.

I doubt if Fluke has been, or ever will be, on the pill. Being a lesbian has its own built-in method of birth control. She’s just a feminazi activist hired by the White House to stir things up.

Rush needs our prayers to deal with the demoninc-influenced attacks that he, and others, will be showered with over the next few months.

THat is true, and it is a lottery as to which florist is going to handle your order. When you go into susie’s Flowers and ask them to send an order 3 states away, you have no way of knowing which florist in the new town will actually fulfill that order. They go through a rotation.

A friend of mine got Mothers’ Day flowers from her daughter. They must have had a lot of orders that weekend because it turned out that the flowers were a half dead pot of chrysanthemums wrapped in black foil with a black ribbon. My friend was furious and complained bitterly. she got new flowers the following week, but not before everyone in earshot knew about the gaffe.

If you send lowers always check to see if they were received. I’ve had them put the flowers in my (unused) barn when I wasn’t home. Of course, those flowers were dead before I ever saw them. Another time they delivered flowers here and I wasn’t home. They took them away and left a note. I called the florist. They brought the flowers back, but it was obvious that the centerpiece bloom had been removed — probably because it was dead. There was a big hole where it should have been.

He was way better off before he threw in the towel and apologized for stating a fact.

It was ok for him to apologize. The problem was not the apology. It's that the advertisers have been intimidated by leftwing agitators.

Agree, all of this “outrage” is a diversion from the real issues. Hopefully a major journalist will get us back on the issues.
