Two radio stations have dropped The Rush Limbaugh Show from their schedules following the firestorm surrounding his offensive attack on law student Sandra Fluke on his show last week.
KPUA in Hilo, Hawaii, and WBEC in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, announced today that they would no longer carry the show after the right-wing radio host called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a ‘slut’ and ‘prostitute’ over her support of President Barack Obama’s new contraception plan.
Limbaugh made a rare public apology on Saturday in the wake of the uproar caused by his comments, which led to several advertisers pulling out of the show,...

End of Rush’s show I am afraid.
Last night I was flicking through channels and the local news was on.
Right on that news or so called news was Rush being reported on .
Two women anchors sat there and said, “Rush Limbaugh has lost a lot of sponsors over his comments calling a college female 25 year old student a slut and a prostitute”
Now there was not reporting on the fact she was an activist, she is 30, she wants us to pay 3 grand for her contraception, the fact a condom can easily be afforded by a woman who goes to Georgetown etc.
Nope no real reporting but even worse was that one of the women was sitting there listening to the other anchor rolling her eyes and sighing in disapproval of Rush.
I’ve just sent them an e-mail but of course the local channels anywhere in this country have now been taken over by a bunch of pansy elitist liberals.
Those 2 stations are obviously run by radio sluts.
I want the names of those silly women who have dropped Rush over this. None of them deserve support. They are sunshine Patriots. They are Occupied —and already captured. they have a right to direct the flow of their sponsorship —but In My Opinion None of them are worthy of my support. To fall for the same Occupy Propaganda -suggests these sponsors were weak anyhow. The message to the called out was-and is those who stand steadfast to the end will receive the reward. Those that cut and run are already defeated-You have been Occupied.

after having to have lived up there for a bit before I got my wife to escape that cesspit then I could not agree with you more on all points.
Ma is the worst state in this union I have been too , horrible big Govt elitist and in many places racist bigoted state , ran by left wing kooks, socialists and where the communist party gets many members.
Then that state has exported their homosexuals to go after other states and demand that the other states adopt the MA law which was forced onto the people.
How any conservative and we do have some on here can stay in that hell hole knowing that their vote will never count and that their tax money goes to things like the homo violence center or the cross dressing agenda.
And now we have their x Gov running on our ticket telling us he is a conservative but will still as a matter of fact keep that homosexual cross dressing agenda going whilst closing down religious orgs, trampling on peoples rights etc
I find it kind of humorous that management of these two stations, both in liberal wastelands, think they`re “making a statement” by ending their Rush broadcasts. Listeners can go online from nearly any venue these days and access his show. Watch the revenue flows drop like rocks for those stattions when they attempt to substitute their local gardening show for the 3-hour block.
They cut out Limbaugh to their own detriment.

Ah........one of the good things about having a computer. I only listen to Rush via. P/C, have been for the past three years.
Have been using AOL Classical Music in back ground while surfing.....as of today I stopped AOL, and found many conservative alternatives.
I know everybody doesn’t have a computer but that’s the way of the future.I listen to stations all over the country. Right now I’m listening to Peter Boyle Show on KNOW630 in Denver, CO and I live in Pennsylvania.As long as I have one station to go to Im fine.This will only make our side stronger.
Our radio station at Effingham, IL announced while Rush was on that they will keep him for the time being, had some demanding he be removed from air.....well, just now the guy who talks early a.m. was talking about the emails etc. they received etc. He said they can tell who the local listeners are as they sign their name and have a personal comment, only 2 of the locals made the demand to remove Rush.....the others who they heard from were not from this area and most likely robo calls......or libs.....when I heard the announcement during Rush, I sent them an email & ask them to keep Rush....then commented on Wm. Bence (who is on in the a.m.) & salute to veterans etc. that I like. I signed my name also....so it does make a difference. They know who pays their bills!

The owners and management of our local talk radio station (WTAW) are solidly conservative. You know you’re listening to the right station when they have promos like “We can’t imagine a world without Rush.”
Maybe they will replace him with an FM talker or a Jersey Shore cast member?

I knew that the ‘apology’ was a big mistake. Remember, this has happened AFTER the apology was issued. Obviously, the apology did not prevent this from happening, in fact, I believe that it gave the critics legitimacy in their ridiculously hypocritical efforts.

I just went to proflowers facebook page, and wrote a couple of rather stinging comments, I told them I have been a customer for the past five years mainly because of Rush. Both comments I posted appeared on the wall, but 12 seconds later, they had been deleted. They were not abusive, no bad language, just my disappointment with their policies. Perhaps this is why you are only seeing supportive comments.
Eventually, the radio may go the way of the dodo bird. I use iHeart on my phone as much as I use my car radio. 640am is my local station, but it is more convenient to use the iheart app when the reception is stretched or I am at work.
I know that not everyone has a smart phone, and I am about to get rid of mine for cost savings, but if or when internet phones and service is made cheap enough, the radio station transmissions will die.
The apology was not to placate as much as it was to clean up (in his mind) what he had said. It was brilliantly worded and heartfelt. He simply felt that he sunk into the sewer with the left.
He apologized for using the left’s tactics. He apologized for using those (oh the horror! or is it whore?) words.
Over the weekend when hearing of his ‘apology’ the same thoughts went through my mind but listening to him yesterday it was not a ‘groveling’ type of statement. In it he brilliantly juxtaposed the left and the right.
