Romnyey can lose in VA today (Vanity)

Virginia FReepers: It's reported that turn-out in VA is abysmal today. You still have three hours to slow down the Romney campaign by handing him a defeat in VA today. We all know that Kook-daddy will not get the nomination, so, let's let him have VA. If you're a Gingrich or Santorum supporter, get on down to your polling place and vote for Ron Paul. A loss in VA, in a head-to-head race with Ron Paul, would demoralize the Romney camp.

I wished I lived in VA, just so I could do this. What a great thing it would be if we actually pulled this off.

It might also give Wrong Paul the idea he should do a third party run.

Absolutely. There would be and could be no clearer message from the not-Romney vote.

I concur here with no dems. Go do it! I did it and it is not bad. What is being done to our political process is worse. I absolutely despise Kook-daddy but it is necessary. Send the state GOP a message! Go vote for Roach Gall!!

It’s already been pretty well determined that a Ron Paul Third Party run is very, very unlikely. But, if he does run, it will hurt the Dems as much as it will hurt the GOP.

That’s not going to happen. Are you for just conceding VA to Romney?

JD Hayworth talking about it on WRVA 1140 .... pretty interesting. Lots of folks voting Paul today .... hope it is enough.

Yes, a lot of Paul’s support is from crazy college kids who vote for the “cool” candidate. They will go for BHO if they can’t do RP. Vote AnyoneButRomney2012 in Virginia!

This morning I held my nose and voted for Paul. I talked to the officials and they said they expected the turnout to be around 2%. Paul could win this and that would be a kick in the teeth to Romney.

I encourage all Freepers to get everyone they know in Virginia to vote for Ron Paul to deny Mitt Romney all of those delegates.

Remember, Virginia is WINNER-TAKE-ALL.

Turnout is apparently very low, and every vote can make a difference!

Good luck to the VA Freepers who do try and stop Romney....I know Mitt will probably win a couple tonight but I hope there is a big win for Santourm or Newt and Mitt is badly demoralized!

Can’t wait for Mitt’s speech about how Ron Paul “kidnapped” the VA election.... :)

Even if turnout in VA is low, how do you expect either Newt or Santorum to win this state? THEY ARE NOT EVEN ON THE BALLOT.

Unless a huge and significant number of voters WRITE IN their names, Romney is the default winner here.

He is obviously not a Bob McDonnell fan .... thinks BMcD is ‘in the bag’ for Romney (duh!) such that he had some role/influence in the process i.e. the rules that have never been enforced before were enforced this year to Romney’s benefit. A bit of a conspiracy theory, if you will. Folks calling in, very mad about only having two choices ..... finding it very ‘interesting’ that everything seems to be coming up roses ... for Romney. JD referencing interview (with Greta) last night and McDonnell acting absolutely ‘smug’ about Romney winning (I saw it .... & he did look like the cat who had been in the cream!).

BTW, my elderly parents (dad is 89!) had decided to sit this one out - they don’t like Romney. Dad suddenly decided a couple hours ago to go vote - he’s not saying who, but we suspect he has voted Romney, just because he’s not one to rock the boat. Mom has now decided that SHE is going to vote .... for Paul! .... & if dad voted for Romney, she will offset his vote. I have told her she will be an ‘honorary FReeper’ if she votes for Ron. She’s feeling positively ‘rebellious’ about the whole thing! :-)

Doing so denies Romney the delegates up for grabs.

Giving them to Paul is pretty much harmless.
