Romnyey can lose in VA today (Vanity)

Virginia FReepers: It's reported that turn-out in VA is abysmal today. You still have three hours to slow down the Romney campaign by handing him a defeat in VA today. We all know that Kook-daddy will not get the nomination, so, let's let him have VA. If you're a Gingrich or Santorum supporter, get on down to your polling place and vote for Ron Paul. A loss in VA, in a head-to-head race with Ron Paul, would demoralize the Romney camp.

“or cast a blank ballot for None of the Above.”

It would be interesting of “Mr/Ms None Of The Above” won the majority of votes. What would happen then — the next-highest candidate would win?

I am from Virginia although I no longer live there. I encouraged my friends and family there to do this exact thing.

It might also give Wrong Paul the idea he should do a third party run.

He would draw as many dems as hillbilly republicans so no harm/no foul.

I didn't mean there is literally an entry for "None of the Above." If you cast the ballot without selecting either candidate, it would be an undervote. It's a blank ballot and neither Romney nor Paul gets a vote, but it counts as a voter showing up and casting a ballot.

A Ron Paul would make Virginia republicans look like idiots. Hmmm... of course we’ve done that before!

I live in fairfax.

“I encourage all Freepers to get everyone they know in Virginia to vote for Ron Paul to deny Mitt Romney all of those delegates.”

I agree with what you are saying. However, it is trully a sad day when we have to encourage folks to vote for a lunatic to keep a liberal from getting the vote. Ron Paul is just enough of an egomaniac to actually think the win means something.
Virginia is scum for not having the other candidates on the ballot. Any state, I don’t give a flip about their regs, that doesn’t allow legitimate candidates to be on the ballot should not be able to send delegates to the convention.

“There is simply no excuse of mis-managing in such an important state.”

I respectfully disagree. The state’s requirements are assinine and they shouldn’t be able to send delegates to the convention because they didn’t allow legit candidates on the ballot because of ridiculous rules.

Oh. Thanks. I used to do ballot design in Alaska, and I know there are so many variances, state-to-state. Your post could’ve been true.

Hey folks .... I sent an e-mail to my local radio station (WRVA1140 for those of you in VA) yesterday to thank them for carrying the Rush show because I was certain they were coming under some pressure from the Left. The message I got back was:

“It hasn’t been easy. The opposition is very organized...but thanks.”

I guess I should not have been surprised …. but I was. This is a strong Rush market and I did not expect the station to be coming under such pressure.

If you are so inclined, PLEASE contact your local Rush radio station and let them know that you support them for carrying Rush. If you have state ‘ping’ lists, let them know this is going on. Enlist the aid of your friends and relatives living in the area …... whatever resources you have to get the message to these beleaguered radio stations, use them!

If you want some interesting if not ‘shocking’ reading on how organized these Leftists are, here’s an article well worth reading (it’s a few pages long, please read it all):

http://spectator.org/archives/2012/03/05/rally-for-rush/

Regardless of what you may or may not think of Rush, we CANNOT let the Left win this war and make no mistake, it is a WAR.

We are living in the times described by George Orwell when he said “In an era of universal deceit, the truth is a revolutionary act”. I say: To cower in silence is no longer an option. I know the power of FReepers when they get together and ACT – this is the time to DO something!!!

it is a WAR.

Yes, and it is for keeps. It is TIME to Stand and Fight. The price of freedom is never cheap, but it is always worth the price.
