NAACP Asking U.N. Human Rights Council to Condemn American Voter ID Laws
CNSNEWS ^ | March 9, 2012 | Patrick Goodenough

Riled by state-level voting law changes that it alleges are designed to suppress “the political participation of people of color, the poor, the elderly, and the young,” the NAACP is turning to the U.N. Human Rights Council for support.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People president Benjamin Jealous and other association representatives plan to visit Geneva next week to address the HRC, a forum that frequently witnesses clashes between Western democracies and repressive states.

The NAACP delegation hopes the HRC will take up its concerns about legal initiatives such as voter ID laws passed by more than a dozen states, which proponents say are designed to prevent voter fraud but the NAACP charges are part of an orchestrated campaign to disenfranchise minority groups.

“We are hoping they will come over here, look at the impact of these laws, look at the intent, and actually render their recommendations about what actions we should take with regard to these laws,” USA Today quoted Jealous as saying during a media conference call on Thursday

President Benjamin Jealous seems to think his race is too stupid or not real Americans...Jealous is just plain NUTS!

I'm a Legal American Citizen and I must show my ID

I'm a legal American citizen and I must show my ID when:
1. Pulled over by the police.,
2. Making purchases on my department store credit card.
3. When I show up for a doctor's appointment.
4. When filling out a credit card or loan application.
5. When applying for or renewing a driver's license or passport.
6. When applying for any kind of insurance.
7. When filling out college applications.
8. When donating blood.
9. When obtaining certain prescription drugs.

10. When making some debit purchases, especially if I'm out of state.
11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.

I'm sure there are more instances, but the point is that we citizens of the USA are required to prove who we are nearly every day! Why should people in this country illegally, be exempt!!!!! Why shouldn't we guard our borders as closely as every other country in the world does?

Go America!!!

How about we ask the useless UN to level human rights charges against all black leaders and orgs. for ignoring the plight of blacks to line their pockets with money.

These fools need to ask themselves why, (after voting democrat for decages) blacks are still living in poverty.

You need an ID just to buy cough syrup, or Sudafed, or a can of aerosol spray for your computer. We need to start calling the NAACP racist against Black people, because normal Black people have an ID so they can go about their daily lives.

Great list...someone should do a documentary about the folks the NAACP is "fighting for", that demographic that never drives a car, applies for a loan, visits a doctor or hospital, purchases alcohol, boards an airplane, enters a secured facility, wins a valuable prize, rents an apartment, writes a check, has cable installed in their home or signs for a parcel delivered by courier that requires positive identification.

They could call it Dead People: the Very Silent Voting Bloc of the Democrat Party.

Ask the UN to stop black genocide by outlawing the murder of millions of the unborn.

The NAACP's job appears to be as Overseers - to keep blacks on the plantation (democrat plantation ) and they sure as hell don't want any member of the black community asking the above question...

Jackson and Sharpton are the worst offenders. They have made millions off the misery of their own people.

This is what the NAACP has degenerated to? Allowing people to vote without proving who they are is their big, burning issue?

The NAACP is old, tired and stale and needs to shut their doors, close up shop and get a life.

It is amazing to see groups like this and unions manufacture issues now that their original grievances have been resolved. They’re like government programs and bureaucracies, hard to kill off.

Now that their original problems no longer exist they seek out any ridiculous cause to keep their jobs and relevance going.

"These fools need to ask themselves why, (after voting democrat for decades) blacks are still living in poverty.'

Blacks seem to be the easiest voting block to manipulate. But, the tools used against them are the same as what have proven successful with most liberal contingencies. Their 'leaders' sell them on hope and change and seldom deliver so that the same mantra will move them again later.

Easy examples to observe are Detroit or the projects that went waste in Chicago while Obama and Rezko were pulling in big bucks from the gubmint. But, we often overlook less obvious abuses of trust or disrespect.

I live in a sparsely populated rural county with no industry to speak of except a small shoreline community that caters to tourists and boaters. The community is heavily liberal. They turn out around 90% in each election and produced a 73% democrat result for Obama. When Obama's first stimulus bill started doling out our money the State designated $33MILLION for at risk kids, after school programs and secondary school music/arts projects. These are categories that really need attention where we have no industrial base providing jobs, high numbers of drop outs and meth industry growth. But, this county got absolutely nothing. The political movers and shakers in the capitol realized that their money would be best spent in swing districts where they might stand to lose seats rather than reward the people who supported them. After all, in reality those people aren't going anywhere. Their votes will always be counted on, just like the inner city blacks.

They have made millions off the misery of their own people.

To Quote a more famous Black man;

"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."

It started with 40 acres and a mule. Now it’s give me your vote and I’ll see what I can do.

Plantation owners have not changed much. The physical beatings of slaves may have stopped, but mental cruelty has taken its place. Democrats will not change nor will the plight of black people who continue to believe the lies and hypocrisy.

You're right - if we could pull blacks into the middle class - by giving them middle class values, Jackson and Sharpton would be out of jobs.
