I have a wallhanger or two I would like to redeem for cash.

Otherwise, these people are idiots.

I have no guns to turn in. All my guns, ammo too, were lost in an unfortunate bi-plane accident.

It’s another liberal ‘RAT “message” thing like those goofyass windmills destroying the scenery here in Arizona.

OH YEAH, those hardened criminals are going to hop right over and turn in their bangers for a gift card! YEESSS Sir, another feel good, accomplish nothing government program designed to 1) preserve law enforcement jobs and 2) demonstrate to the liberals that we are doing something and 3)provide some scrap steel worth $4.80 to help offset the deficit budget crafted by the feel-good libs and 4) generally make voters believe we are doing something about crime.

“Do we really expect the violators to come out and bring the guns? We’re hopeful.

I sure would. No evidence, no conviction.

Few things irritate me more than these stupid “Gun Buy Back” events.

They are wrong in so many ways. First of all, they were not the cop’s gun to start with so the premise that they are buying them back is false. They waste money in several ways, first of all, spending money to deprive citizens of arms is contrary to the Constitution and just plain common sense and common decency.

Some clueless citizen will turn in Grandpa’s priceless peacemaker or Colt 1911 when they could have sold them for a large sum. Then the historical arms will be destroyed.

Most of the guns turned in will be garbage which are not worth the amount paid.

A totally wasteful program.

A gift card for what some Nike tennis shoes? Just head on down to your local riot to redeem it.

So you show up with a few hundred in hand and offer it up before they get to the cop table. Of course, be picky on what you want to buy. Then the guns will be going to a good home and not to the scrap heap. You win, the losers dump their guns, but, where they would get a free pass on these having been used in a crime, you probably would not since you didn’t “turn them in” under an amnesty period.

These “buy backs” are always an excellent opportunity to upgrade.

They accomplish little else.

You too?

I was on my way to the range once via floatplane...

Darn shame...

“Horry” County? Must be in Nevada. Or is this where Fluke lives?

Think of all the “crimes prevented.” They can use the same statisticians that calculated all of Obama’s “Jobs created or saved.” Or maybe the same people that are measuring all the “green” jobs created.

I’ve been waiting patiently for the moonbat mayor of Mpls. to get one of these going. I’ve got a couple junkers to get rid of....then, I’ll be gun free, of course!

I think we citizens should hold a FREEDOM BUYBACK.

I once participated in a "gun buyback." I was going to try my hand at bullseye shooting and a friend had a custom S&W Model 10 that had been worked over by Ron Power to sell. I bought it and had it for a few years, but when I decided I wasn't really that interested in bullseye a couple of years later, I called him up and he agreed to buy the gun back.

Have these "law enforcement agencies" been selling guns to the public? If not, how can they "buy guns back?"

Mark

The only government agency that can hold an actual ‘buy back’ is the ATF. Of course the Mexican drug cartels are not selling.

Do I sense a bit of institutional racism by the Whorey County authorities? If you don’t need tennis shoes, will they give you certificates for chicken or watermellons?

And, the money paid for them will have come from taxpayers who didn’t want to fund the shit to start with
