Newt is far more conservative than Santorum

Newt was the force behind Contract with America. That resulted in GOP win after 40 years of losses. Newt helped president Reagan balance budgets and create millions of new jobs, as Speaker of the House.

“Newt is NOT convinced the global warming is man made. He is keeping his mind open. The fact is no one knows for sure if man is contributing to increase in global warming.”

that’s NOT what he said from the couch with Pelosi.

Anyone with a speck of common sense should have noticed the rush to judgment back then in favor of man-made global warming. When you start wanting to try skeptics as people akin to “holocaust deniers,” you’re no longer doing science.

My last post in this thread....have to go!

Listen all fellow Freepers, you may vote for the candidate of your choice. If it is not Newt, I will not hold it against you. Thanks for all the responses. Even the snarky ones!

Contract with the Earth Gingrich will never be the president of this country.

His campaign is as over as his giant mirror idea.

'nuff said.

You can say whatever you like about how Newt would be the better man. It matters not. The hour is late. Newt can't make up ANYTHING and will not be the nominee.

Pushing for him to get more delegates does not hurt Romney.

There is nothing good about actively campaigning for Newt any more.

If he had won decisively last night over Santorum I'd have begun supporting Newt today, reluctantly. I know it will be hard to realize this.

John King at CNN put forth on his delightfully easy to follow electronic delegate counting graphic various scenarios last night, and I happened to catch that segment twice. There is no way around it:

If Santorum does his best reasonably imaginable from here on. with Romney winning all the predicted Romney win battles, Santorum catches up to Mitt and can win. If Gingrich steps out now. With Gingrich still in the race, most likely Romney gets them all in enough time to win. Or is missing a tiny amount by the convention. He WILL be the nominee.

It is crystal clear.

Newt has made pretty damning testimonies against AGW, specifically Cap and Trade.

Also see this interview.

So now you are going to join obummer and blame Bush. Santorum has won 10 states, willard 14, newt 2. So just go ahead and tell the voters their opinion does not matter. But by the end of june Santorum will have won more states than willard, and newt will have ONLY won two.

I can see why John King and all of his DNC buddies are ecstatic, in being able to support enthusiasm in the GOP, to help get Santorum nominated.

Santorum is who they are almost praying for to win. They even have an army of Democrats who are voting in every primary they can, for Santorum; Some very high percentages of them. (Up to 10% in some states)

They want Santorum to be the nominee for one obvious reason. What do you suppose that might be?

The Earth has gone through many cycles of heating and cooling, sea levels have been much higher and lower than they are now and it has gone on long before there was man and certainly modern man. As I recall Newt said man could contributing to the current warming but proof was inconclusive and that he was against any draconian measures by government to attempt to stop it. This is not a quote I’m paraphrasing from memory.

Santorum received an A+ rating from NRA, better than Ron Paul, or Newt, who got A(s), also good, but not as good as Rick’s A+.

==>NOT ONLY did NRA A+ rating Rick Santorum vote for our 2nd Amendment rights, but he fought to keep gun companies in the U.S.A.! Santorum gets things done, because he is a figher!

Just ask the NRA CEO:

‘“He [Rick Santorum] was the most effective advocate of bringing it [legislation to protect gun companies from frivolous lawsuits] to the floor and getting a vote scheduled. He used his influence to get it to the floor. Without that, we would have lost every American gun company.”

– Wayne LaPierre, CEO – National Rifle Association, October 25, 2006’

As a country girl (who doesn’t live close to a Police Dept.), I’m especially glad Rick fights HARD for our Second Amendment rights!
