They issued him a ticket under a municipal ordinance saying its a violation to make any unreasonable or offensive act, utterance, gesture or display, which, under the circumstances, creates a clear and present danger of a breach of peace or imminent threat of violence.
No Good Dead....
If that is the wording, and it happened as he states, good luck getting that to stick.
He should have called the police. What?! use a cell phone in an automobile!!!! There’s LAWS against that!
Can you say "prior restraint?"
So, in Libtard world - this is another case of punish the “good guys” for things done by the “bad guys”.
Taking this to it’s next logical step, can I have a car of Black youth arrested and fines applied - because seeing a group of black youth may “creates a clear and present danger of a breach of peace or imminent threat of violence.
Or, does this ordinance only apply to White people?
Betcha the male good Samaritan has money.
How dare he try to do something himself without first deferring to our protective overlords!
Next time, just let ‘em FREEZE.
Neighbor helping neighbor? Church helping sinners? We The People voting in honest elections?
It's all being swept away. It is now each against all, to the victor belongs the spoils, and you've got to look out for yourself and to hell with everyone else.
I think we're headed for feudalism, but I don't want to be a serf.
Stupid fingers not following the brain. hehe
What kind of charges are the parents of these 2 girls facing for allowing them out on such a day without coats?
The real lesson is, if you are a man, never help a woman or child. The risk of legal liability is to great.
I meant the wording of the ordinance. If the man did as he says he did, he did not violate the ordinance. Simply asking people if they need help, and even trying to politely compel them a bit (ask a second time like, “are you sure...”) if things look really dangerous, would not violate that ordinance.
What I see is the agents of the state letting the peasants know that the purview of the state will not be impinged on by private actions.
That makes me uncomfortable. Arrest that man.
—The government is working hard to break the Social Contract.—
Yep. It is one of the reasons we so love our new home in central, rural Kentucky. In many, MANY good ways, it’s like going back to America 50 years ago.
You have the breaking of the social contract and the general demonization of fatherhood all in one fell swoop here.
Yep, the prince of the air is building his kingdom.
And, yes, leftists, you’re workin’ for him.
After the criminal case here comes a civil suit by the girl's parent since he didn't call 911 for the state to provide warm coats, hats, gloves etc.
You've got that right. I remember a couple of years ago, I was dropping my daughter off at a birthday party and was then on my way to work. I told the other mom my husband would be picking up my kid. She looked at me and said - I'll need to ask him for ID because I've never met him - I was speechless and then she was speechless when I told her my husband is the child's father and she had met him plenty of times.
