I dreaded reading the comments on this thread.

That dread was well founded.

Blame, whining, distress, throwing up, giving up.

No matter who ends up winning, we can beat Obama if we don’t kill ourselves first.

I voted for him in Cook but he had no delegate for me to vote for. But had he had a delegate slated in my CD (Gutierrez) it would have done him zero good. So he’s done about the best he could on a limited budget, especially early on. That he has delegates slated in downstate districts where he can win, is the best he could do.

This is NOT a victory for Romney. Again, he’s failed to deliver a solid win—all he’s done is capture those he already had.

The “Not-Romney” vote is still more than 50%. He has to realize that
people
really
don’t
like
him
very
much.

Santorum still has a role as the rallying point for the Not-Romney Republicans, to send a message about just how many of us there are. Santorum’s the only one who can send it now, despite what the Newtloons on FR say.

“I’m STILL 100% in support of this thing going to a brokered fight in the end. 100%. And even if Newt never gets near the WH, he’s now an open platform from which to speak ...and never let up.”

Agree that is why Newt must stay in.

I am still of the opinion that if Newt/Santorum merge their campaigns tonight, We can win this thing in Tampa.

The SoCons get what they want and the FiCons get what they want, An Almost perfect ticket.

I’ll tell you how to guarantee that he stays above the nominating threshold: continue to bitch and bicker among ourselves.

But some, it seems, don’t know how to do anything but bitch and bicker.

I felt as you do about huckabee the spoiler. He wore his christianity on his sleeve and lied. He was not a good human being.

Santorum is a good human being and lives his beliefs. He fights for his child’s life, not for his child to escape punishment from dog torture. When santorum started doing well, it was because he was thought to be the bezt conservative in the race. And by non christians. Im jewish and so is mark levin.

I do not see the parallels you see. I thpught fred was the best at the time like i do rick now.

Now is our only hope to fight romney. Its not over. We must unite and show the poweers that be that we dont want romney.

Santorum’s our best shot, I agree. This isn’t over. If Romney wins at the end, then we must fight him every step of the way. Look at Reagan - did he quit against the ‘establishment nominee’? No. He fought all the way to the end and lost. Then he came to the forefront in ‘80.

Santorum has already won 10 states and has a solid shot at quite a few more. For once, in quite some time, TX will be relevant to the process. Why throw this opportunity away?

“Your the one-issue tunneler, in your petty animosity toward social conservatives.”

Not petty animosity, just facts. Social Conservatives won’t vote for anyone that doesn’t march in lockstep with them on their pet issues. They will stay home or not vote in that race, etc. So you get Obama and people like him. So a candidate only agrees with you 93% of the time? Isn’t that better than what we have now? And if you social Conservatives are looking for the “perfect” candidate, the one without spot or blame, sorry to tell you that he will never be there.

Now you tell us where are you going to find a majority of independents and conservatives, and religious conservatives to vote for a man at the top of the Republican party who was vital in taking away our freedoms when he set the blueprint of Obamacare and supported money for abortions. That is like asking a person who believes in liberty and life to put a gun to their head. The ABO will not work, why can’t people figure it out-voter turnout is down as well. People on this thread posting they don’t care if Obama wins.

Newt is being jammed out of media coverage. More and more, if we are serious about Newt, we are going to have to pick up the slack, and make our own Newt media.

1. Get your favorite newt video

2. or make one yourself on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/create OR www.youtube.com/t/creators_corner

3. Make some Newt stationary, invite 3 or 4 people over to watch a Newt vid. Leave your invitations on their porch, or in their apartment or condo lobby, or send in snail or email.

4. Give a little talk at the beginning, why you support Newt, keep it simple.

5. show your vid, with a few snacks, something simple.

4. Have some Newt info to give to them. flyers, brochures, etc.

6. Then make a plea for them to get involved.
Some will say yes, right then and there. Others will say they’ll get back to you, others might say no right there on the spot.

Keep a little calendar and follow up on the undecided in a week or so.

Create your own Newt media. the campaign has its own problems right now. Step up and double down.
My first newt party was 2 people, both were my best friends, just humoring me.

For the last debate, I had to reserve the banquet room at a local restaurant to handle all my Newt converts.
We have to do this ourselves. If it’s not important enough to get off the couch, then it’s not important enough, and let obama or romney have it.

As evidenced here on FR, it is very doubtful any Santorum supporters are going to change their minds, they want a saint for president, and think they have one in Santorum.

But there are plenty of open-minded people out there, not even engaged or paying attention yet. They are ripe for Newt picking.

Any help I can give you, just ask.

"That is the Santorum FRingrich brigade's way of explaining their candidate's loss. It’s always “Newt’s "Little Ricky's fault” for not bowing out and pointing “his people” to Romney lite Newt the Ego. The same could be said of Santorum Newt. If he would have bowed out and backed Newt in Florida Michigan and Ohio, Newt Rick would have this sewn up by now.

Fixed it.

That’s just false. You guys are the ones who will not under any circumstances vote for a social conservative. If Newt were the one who rose and Santorum had faded, I’d be backing Newt. I backed Newt before Santorum’s rise. I was interested in stopping Romney and Newt would have done just fine had he proven capable of taking the lead in the Not-Romney movement.

But he didn’t. And not because of anything we social conservatives did to him. Newt’s just got too much baggage and it caught up with him. I’d have been willing to overlook it if he were the only one capable of stopping Romney.

But he ain’t and to try to cast him as still capable of being the one to stop Romney is just plain stupid at this point. And to blame Santorum for the fact that he finished dead last in half of the Super-Tuesday states is just plain stupid. For a month now on FR Newt supporters have done about 90% anti-Santorum and 10% pro-Newt. It’s a telling sign when all you’ve got left is negativity. That’s Romney-lite, if you want to see Romney-Lite.

Santorum’s picked up at least 15 delegates here, maybe more depending on how the splits work out.

Sorry but your fix is a lie. Rick would not have sewn up anything. One trick ponies like little Ricky don’t win. Romney will wipe the floor with him as it’s already starting with Romney’s ad showing little Ricky supporting his candidacy last go round. Little Ricky is not a true Conservative, simply a social one. A true Conservative would not have supported Arlan Specter nor advocated that Mittens is a Conservative. Little Ricky won’t come close, sorry if that truth hurts ya.

“They cost us this. The no one but Rick, stubborness.”

The social Conservative, one issue voter, has destroyed this party. They have tunnel vision and nothing will sway them from it. It’s what has given us the second Obama term.

Many Conservatives are worried about our kids. Look at what the left is doing to our kids, our families. The entertainment/media is telling our kids every kind of sexual behavior is good and if you say homosexuality is wrong you are eviscerated and if things keep going like they are, they could be charged with hate crimes if they offend a gay person. TV tells kids if you don’t have premarial sex your considered strange.  You can show kids how to put condoms on bananas, but don’t say the word God. Kids are learning more about “different kinds of families” than about our Constitution. Porn is NEVER talked about in a negative way, yet the drug companies who help us live better and longer are called evil; along with the oil companies, who make our life easier.

Very few people take two minutes to think of the excruciating pain a baby fills when it is torn apart limb by limb or have a chemical poured on them so they are burned alive, not to mention partial-birth abortion. We have a president and way too many people who think killing a baby after it’s born is ok. People cover their eyes and ears pretending it’s not happening. This is no different than what hitler ( which SHOULD outrage ALL conservatives, not just Rick supporters) But WE conservatives are ruining the party by trying to stop this. How terrible of us.

What good is it if we gain the whole world and lose our soul and the souls of our children?

Our rights, values, freedoms, our constitution and our way of life is under attack. Judges are pushing though laws that even many democrats don’t want, and lawyers twists the truth to benefit the left. We have politicians on both sides who are more worried about getting reelected, then fighting against those who are aggressively trying to harm the things we have valued for hundreds of years; our faith, our family and our country. The GOP/RNC is embarrassed by people of faith. How many people actually believe that “separation of church and state is in the Constitution?
Welfare is a generation problem, but it’s deeper than that. It tells people they are not valuable to society. We have children having children.......

Yes our kids are more important to us than anything. Imagine how the world would change if more people cared.
.

Isn’t that the truth! And I am now, after being battered many times by the GOP, safely in a home for battered spouses. It’s called the Constitution Party!

Stop, and think about this. Rick cannot beat Romney, so how can he beat Obama. People, there is no ground swell for Rick. He is getting dems voting for him. Please look at the CBS internal info-nearly half of his voters voted for him as a protest to Romney only.
