NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Gas prices are once again dominating the national debate.

But despite rhetoric, high gas prices aren't hurting as much as they used to.

This is a prime example as to why I blocked cnn.com in my HOSTS file.

Obama and the Federal Reserve have stolen your wealth across all forms of Dollar denominated goods and services, which makes the rise in gas prices proportional to the rise in all other goods and services, hence there is no reason to complain about current low gas prices, now back to work or the whipping continue.

I can honestly say I can’t remember such a headline from CNN when President Bush was in office.

the AP is piling on this morning with a lengthy analysis of domestic oil production and retail gas prices purporting to show no one-to-one correlation.

They are SOOOOOO in the tank for Obozo.

This is CNN jumping the shark. It might raise eyebrows if they didn’t jump the shark about eighteen times a week.

I love the photo caption. “Rising gas prices don’t hurt as much as they used to”

LOL. Right. Like they “used to” when Bush was in office. And they will hurt once again when a Repub is in office.

This should be exhibit A in the case against media corruption.

What shocked me the most is that they say the average income per household is $62,000. I am apparently in the wrong city because in my town, the average is closer to half of that. =(

Obama’s propaganda wants us to think that the government confiscation of our money is nothing. Big city people that get subsidized transportation have no idea what it is like to have to drive 5 miles of mountain road to get mail or drive 20 miles to get groceries. I have a low opinion of the government and the government is not as good as I think

What shocked me the most is that they say the average income per household is $62,000.

What shocks me is that CNN would use a nonsensical statistic like "average income" at all. They should have used "median" income.

The old story is that four men each making $50,000 are on a bus. Bill Gates gets on and the average income goes up to $2 million. The median income, however, is still $50,000.

Also, we are talking about household income, not individual income.

You mean CNN took time away from trying to start race riots to tell us that high gad prices don’t hurt?

I wanted to riot just yesterday when it cost me 66$ to fill up my tank.

Yes they are as bad as you think! This morning on my way to work (D.C. Metro area) I passed three stations charging over $4.00 for a gallon of regular. Numerous others clustered at $3.99. It cost me over $70.00 to fill my minivan last Friday. Enough is enough!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I’m sure they could have come up with convincing arguments on why the Titanic wasn’t actually sinking or the Hindenbrug wasn’t actually on fire.

Bull shit. I don’t even commute far and I’m paying for it. Gas prices increase the costs of everything with shipping and logistics cost.

I normally don’t go the cnn site, but with 803 comments I had to look. Not a single one agrees with the article.
