NEW YORK Saints head coach Sean Payton suspended without pay for 2012 season by NFL....
Breaking News Alert
I love it!
Who Dat?
Oh...a bunch of cheaters.
Suspended? This cretin should be permanently banned.
HAMMERED.
Without pay? Ouch! Unless he has invested well.
Holy Crap!
I guess ‘headhunting’ does have a punishment!
He forgot the basic rule of being Head Coach:
“Plausible deniability”
The NFL is suspending former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams indefinitely and Saints head coach Sean Payton for one year because of the team’s bounty program, the league said Wednesday.
The league also is suspending Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis for the 2012 season’s first eight regular-season games, and Saints assistant head coach Joe Vitt for the first six regular-season games, the NFL said in a news release.
In addition, the Saints will be fined $500,000 and forfeit their second-round selections in the 2012 and 2013 NFL drafts, the league said.
LIKE.
Payton is a loathsome little weasel.
Looks like Fisher got his answer about bringing Greg Williams to St. Louis. Williams probably will never coach again. Payton had to not only know but condone the bounty program. All of them should be banned from the NFL.
reminds me of the Paul Newman hockey flick Slapshot.
Joe McGrath: You can’t put a bounty on a man’s head!
Reg Dunlop: I just did.
I suggest a "wheel of misfortune" with all the first string players names on it. You spin the wheel at the beginning of the quarter and the lucky winner gets to stand at the 50 yard line with his back turned while an opposing player gets to hit him at full speed. It would be like a technical free throw in basketball.
Make all the defensive players that were involved in the bounty system play with leather pads from the 40's.
No fair catches for the Saints for a season.
Make their kicker do a "dizzy izzy" right before every snap.
reminds me of ... Willard: [voice-over] How many people had I already killed? There were those six that I knew about for sure. Close enough to blow their last breath in my face. But this time, it was an American and an officer. That wasn’t supposed to make any difference to me, but it did. (Shucks)... charging a man with murder in this place was like handing out speeding tickets in the Indy 500. I took the mission. What the (heck) else was I gonna do?
They simply got “caught”. Open secret for the rest of the league. (no, I’m not a Saints fan, either).
