After fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, Florida community watch captain George Zimmerman "couldn't stop crying,'' according to a family friend who spoke with him Saturday.
"After this started – the reports I got – [Zimmerman] "couldn't stop crying,'' Joe Oliver told "Good Morning America" on Sunday.
Oliver, who said he is a close friend of the family, said Zimmerman has gone into hiding, fears for his life, and is "just now becoming aware of how big this has gotten."
Oliver, who has known Zimmerman for six years, said he has been in regular contact with members of Zimmerman's family, who have briefed him on Zimmerman's day-to-day reactions as the case has grown into a national referendum on race, gun laws and criminal justice.
On Saturday, the militant New Black Panther Party offered a $10,000 bounty for Zimmerman's "capture."

"I think when the other 911 tapes are released, and the other evidence comes out, I think it will show clearly that George Zimmerman was acting in self defense,'' Oliver said. "The question is: how far did he pursue? Who made the initial contact? What started the confrontation in the first place? The fact that the investigation so far has come out the way it has – because of Sanford's history – I find it hard to believe that the Sanford Police Department wouldn't have George in jail now if they had one…piece [of evidence] to support that fact. George Zimmerman is not in jail because…they don't have the evidence to arrest him."(continued)

Every time I see that first photo, I think of Chaz Bono, Cher’s daughter who is now Cher’s son. Looks a bit like Chaz, formerly Chastity Bono.

I wonder if there are any pictures of his broken nose, and the other wounds- I think releasing this now, if there are any, would erase some of the doubts people may have.
I’ll oppose the lynch mob but I haven’t got any clue about whether Zimmerman is guilty or not.
This is about the most rational statement about the whole
incident that I have heard. There is plenty of blame to go
around on all sides.

He was arrested in 2005...he is the only one with priors.

When I took my firearms safety course for my CPL, the instructor spent some time on that issue. The immediate reaction being the flood of adrenaline thru the body and the uncontrolable shaking it causes. Which in turn can cause crying.......
Killing a person in a situation like this will leave permanent psychological scars regardless if Mr. Zimmerman is found innocent, as he should be. He will forever be questioning his actions to the events of that night........and that's because he has a conscience.
Of course they can, but the agenda here is to make this a white v black issue, not hispanic v black. The ONLY reason we are even hearing about this case is because the shooter was thought to be white.
I am beyond disgusted at trying to paint a dead teenager, who had done nothing wrong, but walk home from a store with skittles and a pop; as some sort of hoodlum! So what if he was 6 foot 3? He is black, six foot and wore a hoodie...defended himself when some balding man starts chasing him at night...how does that translate into the right for someone to kill him?

He wasn’t 19. Many of us parents will not allow our kids to put their real age or other identifying information online so that perverts do not prey on them.
My kid was suspended from school once, because he was a short kid with big ears and he had been teased about for his whole life. Finally a kid tossed a rock at my kid’s head, and my son had had enough. He flew into the kid and beat the crap out of him.
I guess if the rock thrower had had a gun, you all would think he had the right to shoot my kid dead...No, cuz my kid is white...makes a difference doesn’t it?

I don’t think so. I think stalking a teenager when you are a man...NOT a cop...deserves a bloody nose and a beating. That is what you are gonna get if you follow my kids around.
Everyone is making assumptions about the kid who is dead; but what is this dude doing stalking around in the dark alone? I heard he was a “self appointed” neighborhood watch leader. I thought neighborhood watch guys worked in pairs, because it is less dangerous? Where was Zimmerman’s partner? Who says this Zimmerman isn’t a pervert? If Sandusky could use his charity to rape kids, couldn’t this guy?
Let’s look at the real guy. Who is he? What was he doing in the streets following kids around?

Agree completely. The “facts”/story have started to come out. Yes, Trayvon was probably beating the guy. The guy was armed, was not a police officer and was told not to follow him.
Zimmerman should not have put himself or Trayvon in danger. If this kid were white and was followed by a large black male we’d be stringing the black guy up.
I despise the media and racial antagonists trying to make this something it isn’t. It was a travesty, but not a racial travesty. The law should work for all. Zimmerman will have his day in court.
He turned 17 Feb.5th...and was shot dead by a stalker on Feb.26. He was 17 for 21 days.
Thought you would want to know that, because I know you are all about “facts”.
