Sarah Palin is More Popular than Any Republican Presidential Candidate
PR News Web ^ | March 25, 2012 | Wana L. Duhart

Posted on 03/25/2012 7:52:05 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Author, Wana Duhart's case study explains Sarah Palin’s appeal among Conservatives and Republicans.

The contention among the Republican candidates continues to rise as they fight to position themselves as the true front runner. Although Mitt Romney continues to hold a lead over Rick Santorum, according to Public Policy Polling, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin remains the favorite among Republican Party voters. "People, Politics, and Profits: The Ties that Bind Main Street, the Beltway, and Wall Street," an essay written by Wana L. Duhart, provides a case study that explains the emergence and appeal of Sarah Palin and why she remains relevant today.

Sarah Palin’s appeal, according to Duhart, exposes Beltway elitism and condescension. She goes on to explain that the misconceptions held by elitist factions, regarding their perceived authority to make decisions about the lives of everyday Americans, further substantiate Palin’s appeal to regular folks and ordinary people. “The media establishment is quite frankly scared to death of her and doesn’t know what to make of this woman who hails from the great state of Alaska, our last frontier,” says Duhart.

The heart of People, Politics, and Profits underscores what she considers the genius of Palin, as she provides a comprehensive look at how the very elitism that is antithetical to Palin's appeal, is the same elitist tendency that is directly and indirectly responsible for wreaking havoc on the lives of many Americans. In her section on Main Street, she examines some of the macro and micro changes that have been devastating for families and the American economy. In Class Warfare: The Elephant in the Room, the author gives voice to a disturbing undercurrent that should be taken seriously by people across income classes and the political spectrum.

The discussions about The Beltway and Wall Street draw the reader back to why Sarah Palin continues to resonate with everyday people -- hardworking Americans reject the strong influence and authority of these powerful and wealthy elitists. As she describes some of the familiar habits and practices of Washington politicians and Wall Street financiers, she reminds us all of how interconnected and dependent they are on each other. Deaf Ears and Blinded Eyes: Hypocritical and Schizophrenic Elected Officials just might make you scream or holler, as Duhart talks about the cozy and conflicting relationships between the Beltway and Wall Street.

And who are any of us to question her decision?

I reserve the right to question or comment upon anything I like - especially the activities of political figures.

It wouldn't surprise me if they went third party if they have to. They both know the danger if either of the other republicans get the nomination and I don't think they will sit back and let it happen.

In fact it wouldn't surprise me if this has been the back up plan all along.

This nomination process has taught me and others that we truly have no home in the republican party. Let Romney and Santorum have it. I will go with the true conservatives and I will not be alone.

Romney doesn’t have to beat Obama in the general election.

Obama is not running against Romney. Obama is running against his own economic record, which is why he loses.

Which means she will be 56 years old when she runs.

I hate to sound bad but the fact is, men and women both expect a professional woman to be attractive. A guy can be fairly ugly and win power. Can a woman? I think there is a double standard against it.

While Palin will never be ugly, at 56-7 years old, she is going to be a bit more wrinkled than today. You know perfectly well that if the MSM was hard on her today, when she is 57 years old, they will be taking high-definition closeups of every wrinkle and liver spot and showing that on your 55” widescreen TV.

Like I said, I will vote for her in 2020 if she runs.

I admit my mistake about her running in 2016. I meant 2020. Romney will be president in 2012, and he will seek re=election and likely lose to another Dem in 2016, so the earliest Sarah can run for election again is 2020. She could run for Senate however, and that might be a wise thing to do in the meantime, now that she has a home in Arizona.

Or maybe McCain plans to retire and appoint her his replacement. I can only dream.

The GOP Establishment hated and feared her more than the Democrats did. No, she got help from no one. I’m not blaming her, just saying she let us down. She isn’t Supergirl. But with people like Cain and Bachmann in the race, there is no reason she couldn’t have tried. The problem is that she needed to be in early enough to raise money.

She’s free to do what she wants, it is just that she was a real hope to hijack the nomination form the GOP RINO leadership. Romney is a lock to win and if enough conservatives stay home on election day, it is not impossible that Obama will get a lame duck turn in which to really pull out the stops to implement socialism hard and fast with all the help and diection Soros will give him.

People badmouth Romney — deservedly — but a 2nd Obama term along with SCOTUS appointments, that just flat terrifies me.

I don’t think the nation survives a 2nd Obama term. But then, I don’t think the nation survives Obamacre implementation and failure to repeal.

That’s the thing. Palin was already completley vetted. They had nothing new to find.

The MSM had already shot their entire wad right up to releasing 12,000 pages of her work-related emails. I mean, they had nothing left on her except to repeat their old disproven claims or just harp on about Bristol’s baby. She was competely vetted.

Wait until the MSM goes after Romney the way they went after nominee McCain. Right now they are best friends with Romney but he will be “McCained” the second the general election race begins in earnest.

He will still win, but the MSM is going savage him.

“Can a Mormon Win?”

“Romneycare vs. Obamacare.”

“Are Republicans Fed Up with Flip Flopping Mitt?”

“No Massachusetts Miracle for Romney”.

It is going to be brutal.

Will you vote for Romney in the general?

Many on the right (including me) will not because of his moderate to left leaning policies and the fact that he was foisted upon us by the squishy GOP.

Many more on the right will not vote for him because they can't get past the fact that his religious beliefs differ from their's; a fact that the left and the media (I know, redundant) will hammer away at relentlessly.

If he can't get the right to vote for him, and the left certainly won't, Obama wins easily. Almost as if by forfeit.

I wish to heck she would have gotten in the race at least six months ago and we wouldn’t be facing what we’re facing now.

She would either be as hated as Jezebel by now, after being dragged through the mud wrapped in barbed wire every day by the LieMedia, or as dead as Dolley Madison.

Those people are absolutely determined: Sarah Palin will not be President of the United States, now or ever. She is an officially Hated Person, just like Joe McCarthy, and for the same reason. She speaks the truth.

Any republican nominee will court Sarah as their VP.

I will race to the polls to vote for Romney, not that I like the slimeball RINO, but I will race to the polls as I did to vote for McLame.

Obama is evil. He will destroy our nation. He is Soros’s puppet.

Obama’s re-election means an Obamacare repeal is IMPOSSIBLE. It doesn’t matter if we only have a 20% chance with Romney. With Obama, repeal is Impossible. And that is not acceptable. Obamacare will destroy our capitalist economy and catapult us into hard socialism. And that is not what I want.

Obama will add another one or two young female hard communists to the Supreme Court. Kiss your Constitution good-bye for 15 years or so. But if the Constitution is shredded for 15 years, don’t expect there to be any re-bounding after that, because hard socialism will be codified into every level of federal government law and activity, and ever aspect of our society and culture.

Kiss your nation good-bye.

Last but not least, if Obama has been bold to the point of careless in his 1st term facing re-election, just you wait and see what he does as a 2nd term lame duck president. Our only hope to slow him down will be that we have the House and Senate. Obama won’t care. He will defy the House and Senate with dictatorial application of executive orders and any agencies under his power. The only way left to stop him will be to impeach, and you and I both know that the spineless GOP leadership doesn’t have a set of balls between them all and won’t impeach, let alone convict.

Sure, I hate Romney and hate that he is jammed down my throat. I wanted Palin. I liked Bachmann. I want a president Demint.

Guess what? All I have is evil vs stupid. Stupid won’t end my nation in one fell swoop, just as Baby Bush didn’t end us in one fell swoop (he just pushed us to the brink is all).

Obama finishes us off his 2nd term. Sorry, but I can’t sit by and idly watch that happen. Could Romney ruin the nation? Sure, could happen. But I KNOW Obama destroys us his 2nd term, so I’ll take the devil I don’t know over the one I know will end us.

Yes, I am going to buy a rocket ship and race to the polls to vote AGAINST OBAMA in the general election. You betcha.

And Obama will lose to the economy. So all of you principled conservatives who can’t stomach voting for Romney don’t have to worry about soiling your hands doing the dirty work. We’ll do it for you.
