James Carville: Rick Santorum is headless chicken
Politico ^ | 4 Apr 2012 | MJ Lee

James Carville chose these colorful words to describe Rick Santorum after Mitt Romney swept three Republican primaries Tuesday: “He was like a chicken with his head chopped off. The chicken is dead. The only person that don’t know it is the chicken.”

The Democratic strategist, not known to mince his words, said in a late-night interview with CNN that Santorum “can flop around all he wants to [but] they’re not going to nominate him.”

Beloved, You have been preserved to life because of other people prayers for you. Please consider being that person in other peoples life! Bless you Lord, Bless you our heavenly father, thank you for such a treasure of knowing and receiving this kingdom key “PRAYERS”.

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16)

Too bad Carville isn’t headless — that is one disturbing looking dude.

Now did *I* say “they” were going to nominate Santorum, or not? I just remarked on the “flopping.” :-)

I see 43% - 38% on Townhall.com right now, and depending on the fractions, it very well may be a 4% difference.

Rick isn't embarrassed. His supporters aren't embarrassed. Are you embarrassed by your reference to the 2006 elections?

Tell you what: I'm embarrassed for you.

Rhetorical Q: Does this person ever do anything besides make snide, nasty comments about anyone with whom he does not agree?

I've never heard James Carville say anything without rancor, or calling someone a nasty name. Who in the heck pays his rent?

Your link is showing with 97% in. Once 100% of the vote was in the final result was Romney 44.1% to Santorum 36.9%. Rick lost by 7.2% - not the 4% he was claiming on the radio today. Santorum is not gaining any ground, he lost by almost precisely the margin the polls suggested. If anything, Rick is fading fast as he actually once had a strong lead in Wisconsin.

Just go there, click Wisconsin and you'll see the very latest.

Tell you what: I'm embarrassed for you.

Wow, how incredibly witty!

Yes, Santorum is embarrassing himself at this point. He has no chance to win and everyone in the world understands this except him and some of his fanatical followers. At this stage he may just lose his home state of PA (again). Rick really never had much chance since he can't reach out outside of his social conservative base, but at this point he is just wasting everyone's time.

What do you think the count was showing the last time Santorum saw it before going on that show?

Gingrich is still in the race. Has he been embarrassing himself since Georgia?

Santorum has had a significant showing in a large cross section of the country. He's done the work and earned the right to end his campaign when he's ready. The Party has pretty much wacked him at every turn, so I doubt he's inclined to do them any favors now.

What you santos people worried about Newt for. Get over it. Santos will never be the nominee. Earth to hello. He can’t even stop Romney so how can he stop Obama.

Longbow appears to be a Gingrich supporter. He claims Santorum is embarrassing himself because he has no chance. Newt has less of a chance. Ergo Newt must be doing likewise. I’m sure there’s a flaw in my logic as to why the insult applied to Santorum does not apply to Gingrich, though, because there always is.

Romney doesn't have it yet, and Santorum has a right to stay in. He smashed Romney in Louisiana, which was purposely glossed over by the MSM, so I don't know from whence you get the idea that Rick's support is waning. For that, I'm even more embarrassed for you than I was before.

Looks like you're the only one who's wasting his time in light of the fact that you're not convincing anyone.

This analogy is on what passes for serpenthead's mind because it describes the state that Hillary's machine has been in for the last 3.5 years since she was thrown off the bus.

Getting her back on the bus is the only thing on their plates. And it's going to be done by keeping her out of the public eye right up until the moment the chant starts up at the Rat convention for her, after Obama refuses to provide proper ID to pass the new State laws requiring proof of candidate natural born status.

And then she'll face straw-man Romney, just as she planned on facing her previous straw-man McCain (and just like McCain, Romney already knows he's supposed to throw it).

And you know how many delegates that smashing victory in Louisiana got Rick? 10. That's right, 10. Santorum won 10, Romney won 5 and 5 more are uncommitted - the rest are up for grabs in the state convention in June. That's why the media glossed over it. When Santorum wins he makes up virtually no ground delegate wise and builds almost no momentum, when Romney wins he scores a massive haul of delegates and significantly increases his lead. Santorum's entire strategy is a failure. He puts his time and what little money he has into places where the delegate haul sucks, so even when he has a good night he has nothing to show for it. Romney the chameleon's campaign is a professional one that actually understands how to win a party nomination. Santorum has no chance to win the nomination unless Willard has a heart attack and drops dead. Worse, while Romney is a miserable mushy RINO who will probably lose narrowly, Santorum would be crushed in a landslide defeat because the man is undisciplined and will end up babbling about how contraception is "not okay" and yammer on about how we need to wage a war against porn.

There will be plenty of closet Romneybots on FR masquerading either in total opposition to Rick and incessantly posting against him with nothing positive about anybody else (certainly they don’t openly praise Mitt-not just yet), or posing as Newt supporters, who will absolutely simply love this Carville quote.

Don’t get exasperated. Santo supporters do not care about reality. Santo is not a chicken with head cut off but he sure is acting like a horse with blinders on. There is zero chance of him getting 1144 delegates in the primaries. Why would the convention nominate a distant 2nd place loser who does poorly in debates? I guess when you have blinders on reality is not seen easily. If Romney does not get to 1144, the convention should nominate Newt, the world class debater.

To Longbow and entropy, hi,

“Santorum would be crushed in a landslide defeat because the man is undisciplined and will end up babbling about how contraception is “not okay” and yammer on about how we need to wage a war against porn.”

“yammer on”...?

YOU HAVE TO REALIZE, PLEASE, THE TWO THINGS YOU ARE
PUTTING SANTORUM DOWN FOR GOD IS PLEASED WITH. A PERSON WHO CONTRACEPTS IS THE UNDISCIPLINED ONE. CONTRACEPTION IS MAINLY SELFISH GRATIFICATION THINKING THERE ARE NO CONSEQUENCES, PHYSICALLY OR SPIRITUALLY.

“Why would the convention nominate a distant 2nd place loser who does poorly in debates?”

EVERYONE WATCHED AS SANTORUM LEFT ROMNEY AND HIS “PREDICTABLE” RESPONSES SPEECHLESS WHEN HE CALLED MITT ON HIS ROMNEYCARE IN MASSACHUSETTS.
