LAVEEN - Police are saying more about a shooting at a Taco Bell Tuesday night in which one man died.
They're also identifying the victim as 29-year-old Daniel Adkins.
About 7:30 p.m., a 22-year-old man and his girlfriend ordered food at the Taco Bell drive-thru and were told to pull up while their order was prepared.
At the same time, Adkins stepped around a corner into the path of the vehicle and angry words were exchanged between he and the driver.
They got into an altercation and Adkins was shot once by the driver. He died at the scene.
The driver, a 22-year-old black male, called police but has not been arrested.

Yes. How dare you? It is asking far too much of people that they remember a simple, easily applied rule.
This was racial profiling. He thought, just because the man was hispanic that he would racially profile him and shoot him, so shot first.
Someone should issue a bounty.

Both dogs stayed by their master until, and even beyond the end. I doubt that it occurred to either dog that their master was a young military hero, or a young mentally challenged man. Dogs don't place "value" on a person due to their station in life as we humans do.
Both dogs knew that their master loved and cared for them, and they returned it with unconditional loyalty
The actions of the dog is the single bright spot in this story. I think the picture is absolutely appropriate.

What you failed to figure in is that the alleged shooter is a son of obama and one of Holder's people. He has two chances of being prosecuted, slim and none. Now if he had been White......

I understand that but that picture means a lot more to many of us than just some news story about random violence.
But I do get your point about the actions of the dog... although that’s kind of normal immediately after the death while the dog in the photo certainly displayed a great level of affection and grief, even to the point of moping under the casket.
I just don’t want to trivialize the importance of that photo or that story.

I understand that in the moment lots is happening, adrenaline is running and perceptions can be off, but mistaking a leash for a metal pipe is beyond belief.
In the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation's defense, it has to be said that black perps killing anyone really doesn't qualify as news - it's like lions munching on zebras, merely depressing and run-of-the-mill. A non-black perp killing a black person - that's like zebras munching on lions or finding an honest politician, worth a headline or two.
