(CNN) Republicans looking to defeat President Barack Obama in Novembers general election are rooting for the American economy to fail, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee said in an interview Sunday.
Appearing on CNNs State of the Union, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said criticism from Republicans on Fridays worse-than-expected jobs report was reflective of their political motives.
What's really bothersome to me is that it almost seems like my Republican colleagues in Congress and Mitt Romney are rooting for economic failure, Wasserman Schultz told CNN chief political correspondent Candy Crowley. I mean, they've been hyper focused on one job, Barack Obama's, for really the last two years. And we all need to be pulling together to focus on moving the economy forward for the middle class and for working families.

“worse than expected” they are not even trying anymore..
I’ve seen better looking mugs at the end of a leash.
I would root for anyhting including a Bad Economy if it would defeat Obama. So, in that regard, maybe she has a point.
A bad economy is what we have now, Republicans are rooting it does not get worse. And, that means thwarting DumBO at every turn.
With the strong, active, tireless participation of the media, they will gin up a “recovery” for November and then install a socialism that will turn us into an African economy forever.
“She has a face only a mother could love...A mother sloth.”
Howard Dean in a Skirt! She’s as bad as Biden. Every time she opens her mouth, she looses the RATs a bunch of votes.
I’m rootin’ for little miss schultz to lose her job.
Oh, you said "mugs"
The "Pug" is kind of cute!
She’s projecting again.
This is the entire democrat strategy. More and more people aren’t buying it Deb.
Democrats are living proof of why the kids are not the ones in charge of the family. The adults have to be, otherwise you get massive spending on frivolous stuff, not enough spending on necessities, and then when the bill comes due they ask mom and dad to pay it, and throw temper tantrums and blame mom and dad for not stopping them from their destructive ideas and that they tried to do their best.
Liberals should never be in power, anywhere. Children do not have the capacity to act like a logical, responsible adult.
Liberals are the people who never were forced or allowed to make the natural transition into responsible, able-bodied adulthood that occurs between 18 and 30. All their “solutions” to problems prove it.
silly woman. president messiah owes his presidency to the bad economy. he was losing (to the cosmically unexciting john mccain, mind you) until the bottom fell out in 2008, and one more thing to blame on george bush (who, oddly enough, wasn’t even on the ballot) fell into his lap.
I’ve seen better heads on a draft beer than on this Debbie DUDE ......
I would gladly pay $6 a gallon to get rid of this radical imposter in the WH.
LOL!
Woof!
I’d pay anything.
” And we all need to be pulling together to focus on moving the economy forward for the middle class and for working families.
We are. By getting rid of this hairball and his doofus policies. Aggggh! You mean I agree with Debbie Shultzerman?
LoL!
Another Donk plea for civility, this time from Miss `Every Day’s A Bad Hair Day’.
LOL. He’s also loveable, I’m sure.
Rooting? The bad economy is here and has been here for three years. If the Dems were truly wanting to improve it, they could start by slashing freebie programs and quit sending billions of tax dollars to our enemies.
Would she go so far as to say, "focused like a laser"? The destruction of the economy has been obama's primary goal for years.
