Allen West Ends Myth Progressives Aren't Extreme
IBD Editorials ^ | April 12, 2012

Posted on 04/12/2012 6:40:33 PM PDT by Kaslin

Politics: The left had a fit of the vapors after GOP Rep. Allen West of Florida insinuated that there were boatloads of communists in Congress among Democrats. Well, maybe not, but where there's smoke, there's fire.

Speaking before a town hall in Jensen Beach, Fla., the popular congressman said: "I believe there's about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the communist party."

A staffer later explained that he was referring to the far-left congressional Progressive Caucus, all of whose members have truly radical pasts.

West's statement ignited a firestorm. How dare he suggest that any of us could possibly be communist?

"Calling fellow members of Congress 'communists' is reminiscent of the days when Joe McCarthy divided Americans with name-calling and modern-day witch hunts," huffed the congressional Progressive Caucus.

Oh, please. Actual party members? Maybe not. But the Caucus is up to its ears in far-left, and yes, genuinely communist politics, feeding off its agenda and belonging to its groups and allies. They know that nobody wants to live under communism, so they mask that extreme agenda as mainstream Democratic Party politics.

Members of the Progressive Caucus have in fact been members or close allies to the hardest of hard-core Marxist groups, from the Democratic Socialists of America, to the New Party, the Committees of Correspondence, and yes, the Communist Party USA itself.

All of these seek to destroy private property, seize the means of production and turn America into a vast prison using democratic institutions to destroy the system from within, just as Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Chile's Salvador Allende did to destroy democracy in their countries. Take a look at the backgrounds some of the eminentos of the Progressive Caucus:

That myth should have been ended a long time ago—approximately 1917 or even circa 1789.

Actually West himself explained it in the very next sentence at the time. Unfortunately the rest of the media had an attack of the vapors and fainted before they heard his entire statement. So that's where the narrative ends now.

Please post a list on this thread of the above “public servants.”

BTW, since we all pay for all of their salaries, we should at least know who they all are.

So, we drop the Communists off at mile marker 1500 of the Aleutian islands and drop the Progressives off at mile marker 1200 - telling them both to walk/swim home.

That's how I would deal with 'em.

If we later learned that the Progressives were indeed commies we could take them back to the 1500 mile marker and let them walk again.

If I was emperor for a day all the prisons would be emptied ... they'd all be sent to an appropriate mile marker in the Aleutians and told to walk/swim home. The few that did make it back to the mainland would behave themselves for the rest of their days, and taxpayers wouldn't be out a single dime for incarceration.

Thanks to both of you for the complete lists.

In return, I will give y’all some food for thought as follows:

A dictator, such as Obama, only has the power that the people give him.

Currently, at least 40 % of American voters are gladly willing to give Obama the necessary power to continue his dictatorship.

Dictator Obama has designed Obama”care” to become active only AFTER he is re-elected, thus enabling THE NINE SUPREMES to delay ruling on the Constitutionality of the dictate of the individual mandate until Obama is once again the Illegal Foreign White House Occupier, (IFWHO).

The purpose of Dictator Baby-Doc Barack is simple: 1.) Regulate; 2.) Control; and 3.) Destroy. By his own count he as achieved 60 % of his goals, according to the note he says he carries in his pocket.

Obama’s obvious deep hatred of America could have only come from his childhood.

Since there are no known networks of childhood friends from Obama’s past, Obama was probably a member of a Marxist sleeper cell funded by wealthy men with a Marxist view of the World.

The lack of credible evidence that has NOT been forged requires a long-term, highly skilled and well-funded support group.

Who the key members of Obama’s probable support group and probable sleeper cell were and are is well known to the CIA and the FBI.

Will the “Citizen Journalists” such as Breitbart Editor Joel Pollack be able to out-spy these two tax-funded spy entities?

BTW, forget about the LAM, (Liberal Agenda Media), as they are saving their notes to write their tell-all Obama books after Obama has SAFELY retired back home in Kenya.

BTW, BTW, to all the doubters of the above speculation: what does your gut tell you?

Members of the Progressive Caucus have in fact been members or close allies to the hardest of hard-core Marxist groups, from the Democratic Socialists of America, to the New Party, the Committees of Correspondence, and yes, the Communist Party USA itself.

Too bad Allen West didn't mention that Obamarx is among the list. From a couple of links discovered during the 2008 campaign......

Chicago Democratic Socialists of America

Towards the bottom of the page, under "Chicago New Party Update" you'll see

"Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat."

I also held on to a WaybackMachine link from '96 that showed Obamarx ran as a NP candidate when he ran for the IL Senate, but they don't seem to have that accessible any more. But I saved the money quote from that link....
October 1996 Update:
Running to Win: The Key Races
Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary).

Here's the link in case the page comes back some day.

Bring back Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Martin Dies, Hamilton Fish, Robert Stripling and all the other brave and zealous commie-fighters. They exposed the communist bastards in the 20s through 50s before the communist bastards introduced PC and made communism just another “alternative lifestyle” about which we can’t be judgmental. We need heroes like those me to root out this scourge in America that seeks to destroy us (and is doing a pretty good job of it).

You will find all kinds of information on these marxists at www.keywiki.org, search by name and “Democratic Socialists of America”, as well.

Also, you will see the new book written by Trevor Loudon which includes a lot of information on these members of Congress revealing their communist/marxist affiliations.

There are a few old reds in Congress who might be covert members of the Communist Party USA (more likely were in the past), including John Conyers. (Past CPers or hardcore supporters included George Crockett Jr, reportedly Bella Abzug and Shirley Chisholm - evidence not available to the public according to an internal security specialist; Ted Weiss; Hugh DeLacy;the Burton brothers; Don Edwards; Charles O. Porter; Vito Marcantonio; Augustus Hawkins and Parren Mitchell. Ron Dellums was a DSAer, one of the earlier one. His aide, Barbara Lee, is now a member of Congress.

Sen. Alan Cranston was suspected of not only ties to the CPUSA but to Soviet operatives in the Institute for Pacific Relations (and an old CPUSA/Soviet spy ring in the Office of War Information).

The earliest Soviet agent in congress was Rep. Dickstein, bought and paid for by the NKVD :(See: The Haunted Wood, Weinstein and Vassiliev).

Lots more that have never been exposed.

I share your enthusiasm for West, but I hope he doesn't get the call.

By tradition and the workings of politics, the VP candidate is always the thrall of the presidential candidate. Only one has even threatened to "go rogue".

That, and prolonged exposure to the Willard fumes, would ruin West -- or ruin his appetite for politics.

Progressives indeed! They are 5th columnists bent on "reforming" the free society of the USA into a hell on earth communist Utopia, defined by their own totalitarian goals.

If Leon Pannetta was closely connected to card carrying communists, it is in no way deluded to say that we have about 80 communists in the House.

And now “Neon Leon” is head of the CIA. Then we have Obama’s open mike NATO ARMS CONFERENCE blooper ( Wait until I am reelected and then I can really sell out the USA!). Who in all hell is asleep at the switch?

Methinks the US COMMUNIST PARTY doth protest too much!

Just check this out:

***********************************

Back in 1983 he (Pannetta) inserted a tribute into the Congressional Record, recognizing DeLacy and his wife Dorothy, another communist, for their commitment to “social justice” and resisting “the dark forces of McCarthyism.” The latter strongly indicates that Panetta was aware of their involvement in the communist cause and that not only did it not matter to him, it was evidence of their courage and bravery. …

Trevor Loudon writes, “The couple, Hugh DeLacy and his wife Dorothy Baskin DeLacy, both had long histories with the Communist Party USA and were very active in the Santa Cruz ‘progressive’ movement that had helped nurture Congressman Panetta’s career. Phrases like ‘social justice’ and ‘dark forces of McCarthyism’ rolled from Rep. Panetta’s pen, in a piece that would not have been out of place in the Communist Party’s Peoples Daily World.”

He adds, “The DeLacys were not merely Panetta’s constituents—they were close personal friends. Hugh DeLacy was also a longtime correspondent, with whom Panetta regularly discussed defense and foreign policy issues.”

In addition to this evidence, we have congressional hearings, information about a communist cell active in Santa Cruz, and Panetta’s own record as a member of Congress, where he fought during the 1980s to protect communist advances in such countries as Nicaragua and Grenada and worked feverishly to undermine President Reagan’s anti-communist foreign policy and military defense build-up. Incidentally, back then Panetta was a foe of CIA covert action to protect America’s vital interests, which makes Obama’s selection of him as CIA director even more interesting.

DeLacy was not only a prominent member of the Communist Party USA, but also a personal contact of identified Soviet spies Solomon Adler and Frank Coe and accused spy John Stewart Service.

Panetta is no longer with the CIA. He’s the Sec. Def. now.

Sorry to be behind. A divorce and an international move have a way of putting one out of touch.

Its much worse than I thought with Panetta as Sec. Def.

Thanks for correcting me Tiger.A divorce and an international move over his last year, had a way of putting me out of touch.

Its even worse than I thought with Panetta as Sec. Def.. He is positioned for Oblama to sell out the nation through destruction of our nukes.

I am very sorry to hear that. I hope things are working out for the best.

Yes, Panetta has been shifted to Sec. Def. Pretty scary isn't it? Pretty useful to place a minion in as head of the top intelligence org and then make him head of the military no? His inside knowledge and connections must be pretty extensive now.

And now “Neon Leon” is head of the CIA.

Panetta is no longer DCI, but moved to DOD when Gen. Petraeus took over as DCI at CIA. It was a few months ago.
