What right does a prosecutor have, without proper evidence, to cause the arrest and detention of an innocent man? When a judge throws out this charge the prosecutor should be forced to spend the same amount of time in lock-up then FIRED.

We---Black folks---are so quick to forgive, so afraid of being perceived as unreasonable or uncivilized, that we tend to deny ourselves the very human right to be enraged. We’ve been told so often that angry Negroes are bad that we have come to police our own emotions just as quickly as others have policed them for us.

Writer is so detached from reality. How do people get that way? The flash mobs that targeted whites this past summer were very concerned with being civilized.

Actually, a friend of Zimmerman says he weighs around 170, which seems reasonable from the pictures I’ve seen.

Martin: 6’3”, 160 lbs.
Zimmerman: 5’8”, 170 lbs.

Ms. Fulton’s recant was “on advice of counsel” who are using her and her family as pawns in their race-hustling game. No parent should have to bury a child. We can’t imagine, and don’t want to, her anguish. Nonetheless, the family IS being use for the benefit of the race hustlers, attorneys and otherwise, who are looking for their own fame and fortune that will in no way ameliorate the family’s grief.

A perceived right to be hostile is likely why Trayvon is dead.

This whole case proves the Democrats will eagerly lynch one of their own to push an agenda.

My white guilt bank account is at 0% as well. I doubt I am alone at this point. You can only ride the guilt train but so far. Race card games are rapidly becoming nonstarters too. So what happens then?

This case is foolishness, and should serve as a slap in the face to any person of color who has managed to rise above the guilt and racist crap to take advantage of the benefits offered and become a successful memeber of society.

That's Libel, right there.

No, it's not. It's her opinion of what happened. Opinion is (virtually) never Libel, particularly regarding a limited-purpose public figure like Zimmerman.

I saw the sound bite...her main thrust to me was her relief at Zimmerman being arrested. From what I have observed from her statement, and read in various blogs, the arrest was key to permitting her to sue the Home Owner’s Assoc, and the state, and Zimmerman, any anyone else they could add for damages. Not saying she was not grieving her loss, just saying she intends to make lemonade out of it.

Wait! My white guilt card used to be full, so now that it is on empty I should have an EBT w/ no cash limit, right?

Yippee!

“Ditto! I got tired of hearing ‘It’s a black thing, you wouldn’t understand.’ and that I was just too stupid to realize that I WAS a racist.”

Exactly correct!

I'm white and I like fried chicken and watermelon.

Now the PC crowd would call that “racist”. Just think about that. I can't say that “I like fried chicken and watermelon.”?

Instead of being so “into” being “Black”, maybe they should...

Work at staying out of prison.
Stop getting women pregnant and either aborting or abandoning your children.
Stop hangin with drug dealers and pimps.
Pull your pants up. (You're making a statement alright, but it's not a fashion statement)
Learn to speak English. (If you're in school, STAY IN SCHOOL!)
Knock that GIANT chip off your shoulder. (you're not BETTER than everyone else, you're just equal.)
Be American first, Black second, not the other way around.

I'm sure there are more, but there is a good start.

ps, for you uncle Tom, uppity Black, white sellouts, I'm not talking to you. You get it. It's not about being “White” it's about NOT being a Nigga. (with all due respect)

As I understand from various threads/comments posted here, she’d have to have a criminal conviction of Zimmerman in order to sue civilly, successfully, that the arrest alone won’t do it, which of course is why the lawyers was flipping out at her mention of it as an ‘accident.’ You can imagine the attorney seeing a jury respond to that comment, and his big fat fee going right down the toilet. There does seem to be a sense of ‘gee, we DO miss you, Treyvon, but since you ARE dead, we plan to get rich!”

Only has to be charged. Remember the OJ case. Not guilty criminally but guilty in civil court. Parents said in press conference in NY with sharpton that they wanted Zimmerman arrested for the murder of their son but they didn’t care about a conviction! You can’t make this stuff up. Do they ever hear what they say?

Thanks for the clarification. My mind (or what’s left of it) gets rather overwhelmed with the various and sundry aspects of this case. You can BET those lawyers are going to pound away at the family/girl friend (who you can also bet expects a ‘little something’ for her testimony) until they get their stories down pat. Thing is, I don’t think they’re that bright and may never really get it straight. Ultimately, like OJ, this will all come down to the jury if it gets that far.

"We---Black folks---are so quick to forgive..."

To borrow a phrase from Bachmann, there's no pony in what Jamilah's trying to shovel.

The lies created to push a racially divisive agenda using the Zimmerman case are not only dumbfounding in their temerity and brashness but in their ability to go unchallenged.

I fear for what we've become as a nation. Facts don't matter. Innocent until proven guilty? Doesn't matter. The rush to judgment in this case should scare anyone who lived through the "To Kill A Mockingbird" era of rabble-rigged justice.

Weighing in as he did, Obama showed just how small a man he is and how base in character. He failed as a leader to all Americans but, more sadly, he failed as a leader of what Att. General Holder once called "my people."

For every black person murdered by a white, thirty-nine white people are murdered by blacks.

But whites are the evil ones.

What you all have said.

My white guilt bank account balance: $0, too.

They didn’t realize that Trayvon was missing for 3 days? I have read that on the Internet so maybe it is true, maybe it is not.

Losing a child is tragic, but maybe if he had been raised up not looking and acting like a thug, maybe things would have gone a lot differently.
