A U.S. lawmaker says a "significant number" of Secret Service agents involved in an alleged prostitution scandal at an international summit brought women back to their hotel rooms before President Barack Obama arrived in Colombia.

I've always found it amazing that a man will risk ruining his career and his marriage just for an orgasm. It's truly one of the stupidest things that a human being can do.

It takes (IMHO)a degree of selfishness and arrogance that fortunately not all men seem to have.

Prostitutes have long been part of the military world overseas. When I got to my first overseas base they had just closed the massage parlor. The ladies tried to give the base commanders visiting wife the full treatment. Its there but never fully acknowledged or talked about officially.

If the guys asked for hookers they’d pay for them just to keep it quiet if nothing else. If the hotel tried to overcharge they’d pay and sort it out later. Avoiding an incident is part of what these guys do.

It seems that in less civilized times, a losing suitor would show up at the residence of the just married couple and attempt to steal the new bride by means of killing the groom before the marriage was consummated. It was the bridegroom’s duty to protect the couple while said act was being completed.

It is ingrained in men to perform the act regardless of the consequences. The only thing separating us from other animals is our discerning brains. If those get overriden, look out.

They were part of the advance team. They usually arrive about four weeks prior to the visit. They have plenty of time on their hands in the evenings.

Eastern European intelligence agencies had the use of agency trained women in both disciplines down to a science during the Cold War. They claim they compromised hundreds of US diplomats, CIA and military intelligence operatives - pillow talk, theft of documents, blackmail, etc
