The CIA called the gals the Soviets used to sexually lure US officials, honey pots. The threat of exposure is a powerful weapon used by enemies against the morally corrupt.
However, it might just be that the culture in the SS has become corrupt...like the DOJ, EPA, FBI, GSA and TSA...and the Congress.
The military took the cap off sexual self control and morality when they “progressed” to the gay parade. Integrating the gay lifestyle comes with a whole boatload of attacks on “hateful” sexual taboos and constraints.

When I'm in my hotel room the door is locked. If someone tries to enter they won't be let in unless I expect them. Maids do not service occupied rooms, and they have their own key cards anyway. For everyone else there is telephone.
I cannot imagine that all 11 trained and armed agents would unwittingly let someone who they don't know enter their rooms in a volatile country. If strangers are trying to enter all rooms, that's a coordinated attack. I imagine that SS agents are instructed on what to do if an unknown person tries to get close. (If they haven't been instructed then they are worse than worthless.) Giving a stranger access to your room, your clothes, your weapons is a direct compromise of security. The call girl that comes from, say, Iran could easily put the agent to sleep and then replace the agent's ammo with blanks. Agents aren't likely to test the ammo while abroad. Then when the VIP shows up and gets attacked the agents have nothing to shoot back with - and the attack is successful.
A far likelier scenario is that agents requested the services. That means that the regime had corrupted the SS, just as it corrupts everything that it interacts with. The "don't you know who I am?" spiel becomes a universal solution to every problem. Laws don't just take the back seat, they are kicked out altogether. I'm sure the SS would have been able to suppress everything if only they were inside the USA.
What did they see? Obama + male prostitute(s)? Obama + drug lord campaign donations? Obama + drugs? All of the above?
Now will be serious ... and (imho) something seen and someone has to be threatened or setup by the girls. The women are smart (everywhere). No offense to the ladies is meant by saying this. Want to be clear ... the girls doing the probable setup are not ladies.

They probably didn’t see anything. He’s probably just using it to deflect attention from all the other news. Also, if he can disrupt the secret service he can greatly embarrass America.
It doesn’t matter if the girls were in the room. The guys would probably answer their door but not let them in. Doesn’t really matter though, all that matters is the charge.
I’ve known several secret service agents, egotistical pricks for the most part but they were squeaky clean. I can’t imagine this many guys were involved in something and it wasn’t a set up. One or two, then I’d believe it.
It takes (IMHO)a degree of selfishness and arrogance that fortunately not all men seem to have.

Prostitutes have long been part of the military world overseas. When I got to my first overseas base they had just closed the massage parlor. The ladies tried to give the base commanders visiting wife the full treatment. Its there but never fully acknowledged or talked about officially.
If the guys asked for hookers they’d pay for them just to keep it quiet if nothing else. If the hotel tried to overcharge they’d pay and sort it out later. Avoiding an incident is part of what these guys do.

It seems that in less civilized times, a losing suitor would show up at the residence of the just married couple and attempt to steal the new bride by means of killing the groom before the marriage was consummated. It was the bridegroom’s duty to protect the couple while said act was being completed.
It is ingrained in men to perform the act regardless of the consequences. The only thing separating us from other animals is our discerning brains. If those get overriden, look out.

They were part of the advance team. They usually arrive about four weeks prior to the visit. They have plenty of time on their hands in the evenings.
They were quite effective and pretty.

mnehring, this is exactly what I was thinking too. I've known several SS agents, and every one I've known were the best. As you said, and I've been thinking, SOMETHING DOESN'T SMELL RIGHT.
Watch, the SS will be dismissed, and a whole new service will be created to protect Obama, and only people HE will trust. Just watch....

My experience with the Secret Service is similar. Those on the President's detail, those on advance details, those on counterfeiting, and the rest were almost uniformly squeaky clean. Anyone who wasn't would, no doubt, feel pressured to hide that on duty. Unless this is about generating a scandal for political reasons, the event says volumes about Obama's effect on morale.
Framing 17 guys, 12 SS and 5 military, all at once, all with the same lie? One guy claiming that no, he didn't bring a prostitute back to his taxpayer paid for room, and that he is being set up, is one things. Seventeen guys saying that, all at the same time, is incomparably different. Meaning that you would have to be insane to try and frame this many guys, the same way, at the same time.
Lets see if we have 17 guys saying "I wuz framed." If we do do, we will find out, and can act accordingly. If we don't, Birther level paranoid speculation just makes Free Republic look a conservative DU.

Exactly. There are certain things that hotel management turns a blind eye to and goes out of its way to keep it on the down low. If nothing else call in the head of security for a quiet chat. This will put the hotel out of business as no other large congregation, government or business, will be making reservations in the future for fear of bad publicity.
This is unfolding exactly like that scandal did. Straight out of Axelrod's playbook. The only thing left now is a Chicago lawyer to materialize from nowhere to take something over.
