The founder of the grassroots organization Dogs Against Romney called the Romney campaign “desperate” for dredging up the revelations that President Obama ate dog meat as a child in Indonesia.
“It seems desperate for the Romney campaign to bring up something that happened to Obama when he was 10 years old, not preparing his own meals, in a country where eating dog meat probably isn’t all that unusual as if it compares in any way to Romney, as a 36-year old adult, in America, making the conscious decision to strap his family pet to the roof of a car for a 12-hour drive, and leaving it up there even after it got sick.”

Some kids are apparently brought up with more of a moral compass and a sense of what is right and wrong than Obama was. I think the chances that I could have gotten my kid to eat dog meat at the age of 10 are about as close to zero as you can possibly get.

This is the hilarious consequence of electing a president that has not been vetted. The lib/progressive/commies don’t know anything about him or even care to know. He is just their god, period.
Even his pacs and handlers and spokesmen haven’t read his stupid books. Before taking down their enemy, they better get to know their own guy.

The dog eating incident is just another example how, even if Obama is technically a natural born citizen (and I don’t know whehter he is or is not), his candidacy and election totally violated the SPIRIT of the natural born citizen requirement. I believe he was EXACTLY the type the founders were trying to prevent from becoming POTUS.
Even assuming he was born in Hawaii, and that his birth there, to an American mother, conferred NBC status to him:
1) He a Kenyan father, who never settled in America and expressed anti-American and anti-Captitalist views.
2) He was born in a state thousands of miles from the rest of the country, that only became a state a few years before he was born. No knock on Hawaii, but back in the early 1960s it was by far the least, typical American state.
3) He was adopted by an Indonesian national and spent his formative years in Indonesia, a country with a totally different culture (hence the Fido Feasts) and with a very, high level of anti-American sentiment.
Regardless of his technical NBC status (which is uncertain, IMO), no American who loves this country should ever have voted for a man with so many divided loyalties, who had experienced so much influence from nations and cultures hostile to American values.
Of course. You are an American living in America. Pets are not eaten. I doubt I could make myself eat dog either, unless I was starving.
In some parts of the world (e.g. Korea) dogs are not necessarily pets, but dinner.

I don’t blame Obama for eating dog as a boy, under the influence of his Indonesian stepdad. I probably would have done the same thing in his situation.
That said, the fact that Obama was so deeply influenced by cultures totally foreign to and in many ways hostile to American culture make such a person unfit to be POTUS. If you grow up eating dog, you are not really what the founders where looking for when they insisted on natural born citizens as POTUS.
If he really is a natural born citizen (and I’m not sure he is), it is only in the most technical sense.
There are many Amercians out there who are legally not NBCs, but have been entirely, or almost entirely influenced by American culture and are totally loyal to America. While such individuals cannot be President, becasue we must uphold the Constitution, they wouldn’t be threats to our nation and its values and principles, the way Obama is.
Sometimes they’re dinner in the US too - neighbors down the street back in California had St. Bernards in their back yard which they never walked.
