SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV just learned Friday morning about a picture of gunman George Zimmerman, taken just three minutes after the shooting that left 17-year-old Trayvon Martin dead.
The picture reportedly shows cuts on the back of Zimmerman's head, with blood trickling down.
Zimmerman, who shot and killed 17-year-old Martin on February 26 in a gated Sanford community, claimed he killed Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of Martin.
The picture would seem to back up Zimmerman's claim that Martin slammed his head against the sidewalk.
That picture could be part of the evidence shown to the judge in court Friday morning during Zimmerman's bond hearing.
ABC News is breaking more on this story on Good Morning America at 7 a.m. on Channel 9. We'll have more on Central Florida's TV 27 at 7 a.m.
Meanwhile, Trayvon Martin's parents will come face to face for the first time with Zimmerman on Friday.
Zimmerman is due in a Seminole County courtroom for a bond hearing at 9 a.m.
After a week and a half behind bars, Zimmerman may be walking out of jail to await trial on a second-degree murder charge.
The parents of 17-year-old Martin are expected in the courtroom during the bond hearing.
Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara will likely argue to Judge Kenneth Lester that Zimmerman is not a flight risk, pointing to fact that Zimmerman turned himself in immediately when charges were filed.
Judge Lester must decide if Zimmerman will be offered bond.

Perhaps he had a SERPA holster, and thus Trayvon could not get it loose.

I have heard Juan Williams say more than once that Zimmerman outweighed Trayvon by a hundred pounds.
The interviewer both times rushed on to the next question and didn’t bother to correct. And yes, the interviewer knew better.
And no, I know it sounds too preposterous to be true, but I’m not exaggerating, he did say by a hundred pounds.
Also, Rick Santorum owes a bigtime apology to Zimmerman but I won’t hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
Looks like the only station in Miami reporting this is WPLG, the ABC outlet. Of course, 2 weeks ago when abc has exclusive video of george at the police station and everyone thought he was lying, every single station, I believe, ran with that video.
The real story here is “why was this photo not released before?” and who has been hanging on to this picture through the whole conflict. I noticed they attributed this photo to no one nor did the article mention where it came from. Why is it coming out now when tensions are dying down. Why wasn’t it around when George Zimmerman was in danger of being killed for a bounty. This photo poses a lot more questions than answers for me.

I had heard from the very start that a Sanford Police officer at the scene took the pic with his iphone and since it will probably be used in the hearing today the media has no choice but to show it like it just appeared.

Exactly. Piers Morgan tried to pull this crap when he was interviewing Zimm’s brother. Saying if Zimm’s life was in danger how could he be walking into a police station an hour or so later. To which I respond, if I’m in an airplane that is going to crash is my life not in imminent danger but yet I am able to walk away with just cuts and scratches how then was I not in imminent danger?
I’ve already seen posts accusing Zimmerman of inflicting the injuries on himself to trump up a self defense rationale, after he had shot Martin.
I expect that kind of idiocy will continue.

How was he attacking Trayvonn Martin? By using a reverse head butt?

Our local news just showed Zimmerman’s lawyer entering the courthouse and there is a lot of media in a frenzy outside.
I've heard FOX news channel say Zimmerman "gunned down" Trayvon! Gunned down!!!
Well this just cant be. It does not fit the media’s reality that Poor little ( If Obama had a son he would look like) Trayvon. was not the aggressor. Move along folks. Nothing to see here.
