Mitt Romney was not his first choice for president, but conservative political activist Scott Magill has come to accept that Romney is now his only choice. So Magill is looking for reasons to get jazzed about the candidate he once dismissed.
His list so far: Romney is a Republican who would sign into law legislation passed by a GOP-led House. Romney has started to hit the right talking points. If elected, Romney would have to listen to the conservative base - or risk its wrath at reelection time.
Also, and perhaps most important, Romney is not Barack Obama.
The conservative base appears to be warming to Romney, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted after Santorum's exit, which found that about 80 percent of conservative Republicans hold favorable views of Romney - a record percentage for the candidate.
Santorum's withdrawal from the field has opened the door for many groups that had been uncomfortable with his candidacy to embrace Romney, including the National Right to Life; the Susan B. Anthony List; National Organization for Marriage, which opposes same-sex marriage.

Getting tired of being told if I vote for the guy against Obama Im evil. Real tired of it. My family and myself have shed blood for this nation. My grand father is buried in France. If Mitt was POTUS that same Republican house would vote for his legislation for the sake of party unity. (see TARP, Sarbanes-Oxley, No Child Left Behind etc...)

Virgil Goode is running against the worst president in US history as well as another liberal candidate with an (R) after his name who is probably even worse since Congress will rubber stamp the spread of communism as long as it has an (R) on it.
If Newt is still in it when it gets to my state, he will get my vote. However, the damage has been done to split the conservative vote early on. Neither Newt nor Rick were man enough to get together to save the day for the conservatives to prevent Romney from getting traction. For that, I am not guilty!
You have time to re-think things. Wait until the real shelling from the socialist begins unabated and the war finally starts in SEPTEMBER.
Regardless of who is the “R” in November, I will vote for the “R”. Obama is the worse enemy. The entire conservative elected and non-elected ‘leaders’ will be supporting whatever the ticket is to defeat Obama. Palin, Rush, Demint, will all be supporting the ticket.
