I all 100% honesty, I live about 60 miles southwest from New Orleans and haven't been there in 30 years.
It's little more than a third world rip off country and just as dangerous.
It can rival Chicago in violence on some weekends............Not my type of place since I'm a believer in situational awareness.
There are no *safe parts* of the city anymore.
Some may argue my view, but I listen to the New Orleans TV news every night.

I'm back from the optometrist, and she says my eyes are disgustingly healthy, no macular degeneration, no cataracts, no sign of glaucoma, and two perfectly healthy optic nerves.

My vision had deteriorated a bit, so I need new prescriptions for my bifocals and my computer/reading glasses. I asked her for an increased depth of field for my readers, and she said, "Sure!"

She was very thorough and up-to-date with her technology, and she's a very nice lady. Both Hubby and I will be patronizing her in the future.
