Breitbart Fans Protest Outside White House Correspondents Dinner (Free Republic)

A dozen conservative activists interacted with dinner attendees including Woody Harrelson and Chris Matthews.

As the nation’s elite journalists arrived at the Washington Hilton to hobnob with President Obama at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, many were met by a small group of protesters shouting "don't believe the liberal press" and holding signs adorned with photos of deceased conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.

A few notable attendees politely mixed it up a bit with the protesters, who also shouted accusations of hypocrisy at the well-dressed journalists and Hollywood celebrities.

Protester Kevin Martin asked MSNBC host Chris Matthews why he wasn't driven to the event in a hybrid vehicle and whether he intended to donate uneaten food from the soiree to the "one percent," a reference to the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Matthews listened politely and even said the protesters "make a good point."

Some who walked by the group gave the middle finger, others said things like, "Oh brother, Breitbart people." A smaller number of people, including Republican Representatives Allen West and Tim Scott, offered thumbs up and words of encouragement.

The group of demonstrators are members of Free Republic, a conservative organization. This is their 13th year protesting in front of the annual dinner, but this year the group dedicated their demonstration to Breitbart, who died in March.

“Get out of Cheney’s house!”...

That was pretty awesome, too!

“We’re well on our way back to feudalism with all the debt they are creating.”

Time to start Victory Gardens...there is a book by that name, I think.

No room outside for a garden? Think of hydroponics (sic?). Norwegians do it sometimes.

From the DC Chapter: Thanks for the kudos

"Keep on Freepin’!"

10-4 on that. It makes it easier with some new, invigorated FReepers and lurkers. The last 2 years at Walter Reed we saw about 6 new faces with most becoming regulars there every Friday night. They now support our other FReeps.

Just one of the things Obama’s Indonesian stepfather might have served him while his family was living there.

Yes, there was one young lady and she actually did look a bit like ML back in those days. Clinton had so many negatives it was fun freeping him over those in those days.
