I've been torn between Senator Rob Portman of Ohio and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida for the GOP Vice Presidential spot. Marco Rubio was on "FOX News Sunday With Chris Wallace" today. OMG, the dude was AWESOME!!! He did not miss a step; sharp, sensible, intelligent answers to every question. I was amazed at how smart this guy is. Don't know for sure, but, you might be able to see the interview on FOX News.com
Yep, Marco Rubio is my guy for VP.

In fact there are BILLIONS of people who would love that country.
Well, he has backed off an absolute “no” to the VP slot, after having said “no” so many times I have lost count.

I agree with Rubio and believe the majority of Hispanic/Americans don’t favor giving amnesty to illegal aliens, but would warm to his plan for children of illegals. It’s not an amnesty plan that would grant them citizenship.
The whole idea is to attract voters, win the election, and defeat 0bama.

Your premise is wrong. There are not 20 million Americans "Waiting for jobs." That's the whole issue. See the video about "Julia." That is the mindset. Let the government take care of it. The problem with illegal immigration is that too many Americans are not waiting for jobs, they are waiting for checks.
Seriously, how many folks do you know who are waiting for jobs picking veggies, mowing grass cleaning up buildings? Huh? How many? Zero.
There is no "mindset" when you have 53% of all recent (last 5 years) college graduates unemployed.
Working with big numbers is difficult for some people so they want to believe all these people are just ditzes, or greedballs ~ but I KNOW PLENTY OF THEM! And that's even in NOVA where we have 4% unemployed ~ which is about triple the numbers normally unemployed in this area ~ and they're not waiting on handouts ~ they're living in basements and find themselves competing against every unemployed person in America for whatever jobs are available around here.
I’ve taken 30 thousand job applicants to businesses I own over 20 years. How many have you taken? How many of those 53% college grads unemployed will do menial labor? NONE. And by none, I mean statistically none. There are always exceptions to the rule.
But to mix college grads with the illegal work force jobs is breathtakingly out of touch with business reality. But for now, the score is 30,000 to 0 unless I hear some other evidence.
And BTW, I am staying mum on the issue of deportation other than being in favor of immediately cutting off all government bennies - which would take care of itself through self deportation. That we should do immediately. I am just saying you are ill informed on the reality of the job market.
Take it easy. No need to be a drama queen (and whatever porn you are referring to). He has also made previous statements that imply his attitude towards illegal is way to the left. Besides, there is the issue of citizenship that some have raised here.

The other day there was an article in which Rubio supported the IMF,World Bank and some other entity - maybe even the UN? beacuse they didn’t promote a “narrow” American view.
Rubio stinks. I wish people knew about this.
Lots of them were college graduates who needed a job ~ that was back in 1969.
So you are a government hack bureaucrat. We are done. You will NEVER understand the free market. Working for the Post Office and bragging about it is proof.

I did menial jobs myself ~ worked in a UAW organized truck engine plant doing the worst jobs down in the pits you can imagine ~ shoveled grease with metal shavings ~ 25 to 50 pound loads in a bladefull and tossed 'em up in a gondola. Made my biceps bulge!
Then, the drive in theatre ~ we had a guy who drank too much did the propellor collection route though, but I've handled a high pressure steam hose going into a women's toilet ~ just blowing all that filth to the drain hole.
Finally, cooked, froze and breaded all the chicken for the New York World's Fair ~ did all the jobs which included pushing loads into the -30 freezer, and pulling the still broiling chickens out of the oven.
Menial labor? Why did I always get the part of the job where you needed to be able to read?
I think men who want jobs and who are citizens should be able to get them without waiting in line behind foreigners whose bosses dote on them. If you want those workers, go to their own countries and eploy them. Quit messing with American people's heads. Quit telling us it's for our own good, and that it's the Conservative thing to do to bring in foreign labor.

I think I know a tad more about the totality of the free market than a store clerk like yourself ~ 30,000 applications? Chump change brother, chump change.
