In a revealing new book, The Amateur, author Edward Klein interviews President Barack Obama’s physician, Dr. David Scheiner, MD, who blasts the president’s health care plan and says that President Obama has an “academic detachment” that he could never break through.
The doctor fears that if the health care plan is “the failure” he believes it will be, because of runaway costs and other problems, then any health reform will be set back for years to come.
These are only a few of many reveals in Klein’s book, which makes the case that President Obama is not the political machine that people fear, but an amateur with a messianic complex who is completely out of his depth.

Many of us knew that 4 years ago. Unfortunately, not nearly enough.
I nearly came to blows with a close relative back then when trying to tell him what a narcisstic POS Obama was.
It doesn’t sound like the doctor is giving a clinical opinion based on a medical examination, rather he is commenting on Obama’s public acts and declarations. His doctor-patient relationship does not figure in any of those statements.
Still.
If W’s doctor had made the same kind of statements I would be appalled.
I bet the good doctor voted for him, though.

One does not need an MD to see serious character flaws in Obama. However, Charles Krauthammer does have an MD (in psychiatry) and has called Obama a narcissist on numerous occasions. Never in US history has ANY president ever displayed such a self-centered focus as Obama. Not even Bill Clinton.
For obama to be an amateur who’s in over his head means EVERYONE who works for him, with him or around him are also amateurs. I don’t buy it.
I think it’s a little unseemly for a Doctor to write a “tell-all” book about one of his famous ex-patients, even if I can’t stand the famous ex-patient.

I still don’t have much to say to my Obama supporting MIL, with whom I got into a huge fight w/ over the election in 2008. Her behavior, however, told me all I needed to know about her — and I just have had no interest in dealing with her ever since. Call waiting is the best invention yet ...
