Central Asia and Northern Europe, so far as I know. Some over the Bering Straight land bridge to hunt wooly mammoth I assume, and some to Jamestown Colony as indentured servants. At the turn of the last century there was an orphaned Prussian girl sent to next of kin in the Midwest, and there was a drunk Norwegian seaman who was put off of his ship in America.

My point was and is that people will go where they see advantage for themselves and their posterity, and defend the same. They will leave dead end or declining prospects if they are able.

Thank you for trying to recover the language. Liberal is not the same as leftist - far from it - although sloppy use of language has made that the default meaning in most conversations. Two other words that need to be recovered and rehabilitated are ‘comrade’ and ‘gay’. Perfectly decent words for wholesome things, which have been shanghaied and abused for decades now.

I wouldn’t give up my citizenship in this the Greatest Country on God’s Green Earth, just to lower my taxes.

I certainly don’t support the Government extracting those taxes but some things are more important than money.

Easy to say since you're likely to never be put in a position where you have to make a decision to either move out of country or give your government hundreds of millions of dollars in capital gaines taxes........

And that's a conservative estimate based on his realization of $3.4 billion when Facebook went public.........

It would be nice if I had enough money that I could profit from renouncing my citizenship....We are not citizens anymore, just slaves that give our days work, sweat and blood to the greedy government....I love my country but hate my government, I can still love it even if I lived somewhere else. But I think I would feel sorrow for what it use to be...

“I love my country but hate my government”

When enough Russians felt the same way, the Soviet Union burst like a soap bubble and is now gone. Since then, Russians have by and large prospered.

Do we really need the swarming bacterium in the Pustule on the Potomac? No. There was a vigorous and prosperous America before the Washington government, and there will be a vigorous and prosperous America after its demise. Probably not before though.

“True Americans would stay and fight than turn tail and run.”

This isn’t a fight, not yet anyway. This is a business decision, and America has competition that makes such a person more welcome. It is sad to think “The land of the free” is actually a place people flee.

Competition is a good thing. Wake up America.

“What irks me is people who quit the greatest country on earth.”

But that it the problem: The US is not the greatest country on Earth anymore as he obviously found a better one for him and his money. This nation was going to take it from him. How is that great? How can you be proud of that fact?

Competition is a good thing.

“I certainly don’t support the Government extracting those taxes but some things are more important than money.”

Name it. Name each and every thing that is more important than your labor and the life you live to exert it and then tell us how the government taking half of that is not a slave. FREEDOM is the most important trait of a nation, and we ain’t free anymore.
